Do you want a flight stick to enhance your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 experience on PS5?
Currently, PlayStation gamers have limited choices for compatible flight sticks compared to PC or Xbox players – there’s only one option available right now, though more are expected soon. We’ll have details on those additional options shortly.
The Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 is a great choice if you’re looking for an affordable flight stick. It usually costs around $100, and you might even find it on sale for less.

This flight stick is officially made for PlayStation and is perfect for beginners who want to try flight simulation games.
This controller is designed to work immediately with MFS24, and you can easily customize the controls within the game to fit your preferences. It’s compatible with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PCs.
It comes with a joystick and throttle, as well as 12 buttons and a trigger.
I really like that you can actually separate the throttle from the joystick. It’s awesome because I can move them around to whatever feels comfortable – I can space them out, or even just put the throttle right on my lap if I want to!
It works with MFS24 immediately, and also plays well with popular games like Ace Combat 7, War Thunder, and Star Wars Squadrons.
However, if this flight stick doesn’t suit your needs, Jorg Neumann, the head of the series, hinted in a recent XDA interview that more options are on the way.
When asked about new PlayStation controllers, he clarified that Microsoft’s priority is ensuring their games are available on Sony’s console.
He then added:
We’re working on a range of new controllers for PlayStation as we aim to reach more players. It will take a little while to develop them. We’ve seen growing popularity of specialized controllers on Xbox, and we anticipate a similar trend with PlayStation.
Currently, the T.Flight Hotas 4 is the only flight stick available for the PS5, but more options are expected to be released soon. If you can wait, you’ll likely have more choices in the future.
While it’s not ideal, the game controls work pretty well with the DualSense controller, so a flight stick isn’t essential.
With PSVR2 support launching next year, having the correct accessories will really ensure you get the most immersive gaming experience possible.
