Anbernic, a company that makes gaming accessories, announced a new controller called the RG G01 Smart Controller on January 23, 2026. It’s designed to work with PCs, Steam, Nintendo Switch, iPhones/iPads, Linux, and Android devices.
This controller is designed to make gaming more enjoyable with quick, accurate controls, realistic feedback, and a built-in heart rate monitor that can even track the player’s health.
Here are all the tech specifications Anbernic has shared on the ANBERNIC RG G01 Smart Controller.
The ANBERNIC RG G01 Smart Controller can connect to your device using either a wired connection or wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.0 or 2.4G. It boasts a fast response time with a 1,000Hz polling rate, whether you’re using it wired or wirelessly.
Thanks to its fast response time, this device eliminates input lag and ensures smooth gameplay in competitive PC games like Call of Duty.
The ANBERNIC RG G01 Smart Controller features joysticks designed to eliminate unwanted movement (drift) and improve precision. It also has triggers with two modes: a smooth, analog feel ideal for racing games, and a quicker, more tactile response perfect for shooters.
It also features advanced motion controls with six axes, customizable buttons for quick commands, dual motors that vibrate asymmetrically for a more realistic feel, and a smart screen for easily adjusting controls and settings.
I was really surprised to see that the ANBERNIC RG G01 Smart Controller has a heart rate monitor built right in! It’s a pretty unique feature – it actually tracks how fast your heart is beating while you’re playing games.
Lastly, the controller can be bought in one of three color schemes: Black, White, or Yellow.

Anbernic hasn’t announced a release date for the RG G01 Smart Controller, only stating that it will be available “soon.”
We’ll be sure to announce when this exciting gaming accessory is available for everyone to buy.
