Recently revealed information about Thor and Steve Rogers’ adventure during Avengers: Doomsday suggests a poignant reunion between Thor and his brother, Loki.
For some time, rumors have circulated that a storyline in the upcoming Doomsday project will involve Thor and Captain America searching for Loki. Evidence from the post-credits scene of Thunderbolts suggested they were already with Doctor Doom aboard the Fantastic Four’s ship before it enters the main Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, insider MAJESTIC_ucm is providing more details about how Thor and Steve will reconnect with Loki.
What will be Thor’s most emotional scene in Avengers: Doomsday?
A post on X by MAJESTIC_ucm claims that Thor and Captain America arrive at the Time Variance Authority (TVA) after the disaster has already happened. The post says someone is fatally wounded – either Mobius or B15 – and reveals who caused the tragedy. It also states that the Loki variant from the show is dead, and that everyone from the series, including all characters at the TVA, perishes.

Since this is just a rumor, fans shouldn’t fully believe it until Marvel Studios confirms or denies it. But if it’s true, it suggests Thor will never encounter the version of Loki from Endgame—the one who now controls the Multiverse in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Last month, a source known as MyTimeToShineHello shared that Loki would die. James Mack, another reliable insider, clarified last week that this death was planned for the ‘Doomsday’ event, because Doctor Doom needed to eliminate Loki to gain control of the Multiverse.
Many fans probably thought Thor and Captain America would get to the TVA before Doctor Doom, setting up a heartfelt reunion between Thor and Loki. But according to MAJESTIC_ucm, Doom will actually reach the TVA first, destroy it, and defeat Loki before Thor and Steve arrive, leaving them to see what’s left afterward.
Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026.
