Thrilljoy Makes MEGACON Orlando Debut with Long Lines & Sold Out PIX (Exclusive)

Thrilljoy, a company specializing in high-end collectibles, was a big hit at MEGACON Orlando 2026. Their exclusive PIX! figures were incredibly popular, selling out quickly and attracting large crowds. TopMob interviewed former Funko CEO Brian Mariotti to learn about Thrilljoy’s latest developments.

Thrilljoy is making a name for itself in the collectible figure world with its limited-edition figures. These figures come in special, stackable display cases and are shipped in unique zip-open boxes. The company also recently unveiled its fun mascot, Bloo, at New York Comic-Con in 2024.

The brand debuted 16 unique items at MEGACON. Mariotti explained that if you’re going to participate in a convention, you need to offer products you can’t get anywhere else.

We focus on offering content you can’t find anywhere else. We pull from our extensive collection of licenses, including popular new shows like ‘Adventure Time’ and classic titles like ‘Scott Pilgrim’ or ‘The Flintstones,’ covering a wide range of genres and appealing to all kinds of fans.

MEGACON featured a variety of popular guests, and fans especially loved meeting the actors who played Daphne from Scooby-Doo, Marty McFly from Back to the Future, Willy Wonka, Lucius Malfoy, and Toothless. These were some of the most requested autographs and photo opportunities.

The setup on Friday was a huge hit at the convention, and popular figures like BMO from Adventure Time and Daphne sold out fast. The excitement was boosted by a particularly rare collectible this year – a unique, one-of-a-kind item that really captures what makes Thrilljoy special.

Mariotti credited the brand’s transparency with collectors as a key driver of that excitement:

Our fans are well-informed about how many of each product we make, how difficult they are to get, and whether we’re releasing a special, limited-edition version. We openly share this information, which creates excitement and a sense of urgency – that’s why people line up early and our products sell out quickly.

Thrilljoy hosted a sold-out block party called “Florida’s Backyard Bash” on Saturday night, just outside the convention center.

To reach customers at events Thrilljoy can’t attend, the company collaborates with retailers such as Toy Temple, who participate in roughly 16 to 17 conventions annually.

When deciding which licenses to obtain, the team focuses on what’s currently popular in culture, citing the success of the animated series Invincible as an example. Mariotti also hinted that many new partnerships and announcements will be revealed soon.

As a movie buff, I’m thrilled to share that we have a ton of exciting news coming up! We’re about to reveal some licenses for films and shows that many fans aren’t even aware we own – probably around eight to ten of them. I really think people are going to be blown away when they hear what we’ve got in store!

If you couldn’t snag one at MEGACON, Thrilljoy says to hurry and order soon – these limited items won’t be available for long!
