In this week’s edition of TopMob magazine, I got a peek at some behind-the-scenes exclusive photos from The Thursday Murder Club set, featuring none other than Helen Mirren and the rest of the talented cast in action!
In one of the pictures, Mirren is spotted examining clues and evidence on a case board, with director Chris Columbus standing nearby.
As I gaze upon the next photo, there I see myself seated beside my esteemed colleagues – Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, and Celia Imrie – all of us gracing the title collectively in this production.
In this scene, actress Naomi Ackie, who plays the role of Donna De Freitas’ star, is seated among them. Meanwhile, Columbus addresses everyone, as the crew prepares to film in the background.

In just about three weeks, the movie will hit the big screens in cinemas, and later on in the same month, it’ll be available for streaming on Netflix.
Additionally, Jonathan Pryce, David Tennant, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Richard E. Grant, Tom Ellis, and other talented actors will appear in the adaption of Richard Osman’s popular book.
Previously, Osman justified the selection of Pierce Brosnan for one of the film’s roles, as some fans pointed out that his appearance differed significantly from the description of Ron in the books. Earlier, he had frequently been suggested as Ray Winstone for this part, given his neck tattoo.
As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I shared with Empire my thoughts on the unconventional yet captivating approach they should take for an upcoming project. I emphasized the importance of making it unusual, different, and intriguing. In this particular role, Pierce Brosnan is the perfect fit – a choice that Ron himself would make to play the character of Ron.
In the process, Columbus shared with Collider that creating this movie was like a cherished dream for him. He also expressed his hope that he might be lucky enough to make another film in the series, and perhaps even another after that.
