Timothée Chalamet Reveals Where He Stands on Having Kids One Day

Timothée Chalamet’s family plans aren’t a complete unknown. 

Though 29-year-old Travis Scott, who shares two children with Kylie Jenner, isn’t sure what the future holds, he says having a child of his own is something he really wants to experience.

As he put it to Vogue in an interview published Nov. 6, “That could be on the radar.”

Even though Timothée gave a vague response, he was quite open about other topics. He recently became an uncle to his sister Pauline Chalamet’s young child, who is now fourteen months old.

The Dune actor described watching an interview where a celebrity talked about the benefits of not having children and having more free time. He said he and a friend reacted with disbelief, exclaiming how depressing they found the statement.

He stated he wasn’t worried about keeping his personal life private, explaining simply that he had nothing further to share on the matter.

He’s still preoccupied with the idea of love, to the point where he often finds himself thinking about the parents of a friend from school.

I had a friend, Grace, in school, and her parents had a truly wonderful marriage. It taught me that something can be exceptional without being difficult.

This shows how Timothée is realizing he can be a master of his profession—something he’s openly said he wants—without giving up his personal life. He pointed to Dune director Denis Villeneuve as someone who manages this balance well.

Timothée remembered being really impressed by Denis Villeneuve. It was Denis’s birthday, and one of his children unexpectedly flew in to surprise him. Timothée described seeing Denis embrace his child and cry on the movie set, with people capturing the moment on video. He said Denis is both incredibly skilled at what he does and a devoted father.

Timothée Chalamet seems to be supportive of others finding love, but he’s also attracting attention in his own romantic life. His Marty Supreme co-star, Gwyneth Paltrow, recently shared how much she approves of his relationship with Kylie, after finding out they were dating while filming.

She remembered asking him, ‘Do you have a girlfriend?’ He replied that he did and mentioned she had children. She then told him, ‘That’s so cool. It’s great to hear that from someone your age.’

Gwyneth acknowledged that it’s understandable for a 45-year-old father to date someone with children of their own, but she finds it refreshing when he dates a younger woman who also has kids. She described it as a bold and unconventional choice, even calling it ‘punk rock’.

Timothée and his partner made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards in Rome, where Timothée received a special acting award.

Kylie’s sister, Kendall Jenner, accompanied her on a date to the New York Knicks versus Boston Celtics game at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Kylie visited Timothée in Budapest in August 2025 while he was filming Dune: Part Three. They took pictures with fans while out at a coffee shop.
