TNA's Jeff Hardy "Happy" With Touching Tribute to WWE's Bray Wyatt

As a seasoned gamer who’s seen more wrestling matches than I can count (and that’s saying something!), I must say Jeff Hardy’s tribute to Bray Wyatt’s Fiend character has left me utterly spellbound. It’s not every day you witness such a masterful blend of tradition and innovation, a testament to the evolving artistry in the world of wrestling.

In the latest TNA show, Jeff Hardy’s homage to Bray Wyatt’s Fiend persona created quite a buzz online. Unlike his signature vibrant neon paint, this time he used a detailed, dark face paint that resembled The Fiend mask. Notably, he incorporated large, glowing yellow eyes that become visible only when his eyes are closed. In a recent podcast discussion, Jeff’s brother Matt talked about Jeff’s tribute and mentioned that his “biggest regret” from his last WWE stint was connected to Wyatt.

One of Jeff Hardy’s biggest regrets was their separation when they teamed up with Bray and switched to a tag team. This incident seems to have sparked it off, as Jeff was injured at the time, while I was involved in singles matches. An angle was created where I fought against Bray, and after visiting the lake of reincarnation, he changed his ways and we became partners. Jeff deeply regrets missing out on this opportunity; he would have enjoyed working together on projects like Broken Matt, Fiend, and Willow,” (credit: Fightful) – Hardy expressed on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy.

Jeff Hardy Explains Tribute to WWE’s Bray Wyatt

For years, I’ve been applying makeup on my face, focusing only on my lips, never considering adding teeth. However, when I attempted to incorporate teeth as part of a skull design, I wasn’t pleased with the outcome. So, I settled for lines on my black lips. Initially, I was hesitant about incorporating teeth, but after rewatching a match and observing it from different angles, I was taken aback by the impact it had. It struck me that I could potentially create a large mouth to pay homage to The Fiend, Bray Wyatt.

Art is truly captivating! It’s such a thrill when you conceive an idea or picture in your mind and then materialize it into reality. And with my face painting, which I do instead of canvas work on the road, my face becomes my canvas. Honestly, I was overjoyed with how that particular piece turned out. So, it’s safe to say that I will create more masterpieces, perhaps in various colors, always intriguing. But yes, I’m really pleased with how well it all came together!

Matt and Jeff Hardy are scheduled to fight in a series of TNA recordings taking place in Spartanburg, South Carolina this weekend on September 27th and 28th. They will also be interacting with fans, and on Friday, they will face off against former TNA Tag Team Champions ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey). On Saturday, they will team up with ABC to challenge The System in the following match.
