Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley considered the layers of their life when joining The Masked Singer.
Todd and Julie Chrisley, known from their former reality show Chrisley Knows Best, wanted to address their past fraud convictions while competing on season 14 of a different reality show, where they were disguised as ‘The Croissants’. They were eliminated from the competition in the January 14th episode.
Todd explained to TopMob News, during an interview with Julie, that each experience shapes who we become. He specifically said he doesn’t want to forget a particular period of his life, which lasted 28 months, because it was a formative time.
The 56-year-old described the past 28 months as a period of significant personal growth – spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically. It also opened their eyes to a part of the population that had been overlooked.
For me, what really struck me about Todd and Julie was how openly they talked about their time in federal prison, especially after receiving presidential pardons in May 2025. They always framed it as part of a bigger purpose – a mission, if you will – and a way to shine a light on the experiences of people still behind bars. It felt incredibly genuine and important to me.
Are we going to reject and hide those parts of ourselves? Are we going to pretend they don’t exist? What does that tell people who don’t have the same advantages when they come to terms with who they are? I don’t want anyone to feel ashamed or inferior. Everyone deserves to feel worthy and belong, and shouldn’t feel excluded from any space.
As someone who’s seen it all, let me tell you, family dynamics are never simple. For my friend Julie, and her family – she shares Chase, Savannah, Grayson, and Chloe with her ex, Todd – appearing on TV was actually a really empowering experience. It allowed them to show the world that they weren’t this picture-perfect family, and honestly, it helped them reclaim their narrative. It was about acknowledging their history and being real, and that’s something I always champion.

“Like everyone else, we face challenges and have things we need to work through,” the 53-year-old explained. “We’re not exempt from hardship.”
And when it comes to facing criticism online, the reality couple do their best to shut it all out.
Todd explained that he won’t let others define him. He believes people are responsible for their own negative statements, whether about him personally or his family, and he doesn’t feel obligated to address or defend himself against them.
Now that the Chrisleys are no longer on The Masked Singer, find out which other celebrities are competing this season and will soon be revealed.

Baseball Hall of Famer David Ortiz, known as ‘Boston Rex Sox,’ was unmasked on the premiere of The Masked Singer season 14 and eliminated from the competition.

Kylie Cantrall, known for her role in Descendants, was recently unmasked as the Cat Witch on a show, sharing a behind-the-scenes look with fans while successfully keeping her identity a secret from the judges.

During the first episode of the show, the costumed duo known as The Croissants were revealed to be reality TV stars Julie and Todd Chrisley.

The performer who had the audience roaring with laughter was revealed to be comedian Tiffany Haddish, and she was unfortunately eliminated from the competition during the second week.
