This year’s Tokyo Game Show is expected to break records as the biggest ever, boasting an impressive 772 companies signed up to participate and a staggering 4,083 booths.
Some of the largest Japanese video game companies, such as Sony, Square Enix, SEGA, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Koei Tecmo, and Konami, are among the most prominent in this industry.
A significant portion of the exhibition area at the event will be occupied by foreign exhibitors. In fact, around 299 companies participating in the show are based outside of Japan, highlighting the increasingly global nature of the Tokyo Game Show in recent years.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed that the impact of Tokyo Game Show seems to have dwindled somewhat over time. However, with powerhouses like Capcom and SEGA earning record-breaking revenues, it could be said that the event is regaining its significance in terms of relevance within the gaming industry.
The Tokyo Game Show 2025 is scheduled for September 25-28. That means it’s not too far off! By the way, the eye-catching artwork for the event was created by the renowned Japanese illustrator Zashikiwarashi. Quite a sight to behold.
Without further ado, here’s a compilation of major exhibitors expected to showcase PlayStation 5 games:
