Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Delayed to February 2027 – Rumor

Despite a lot of excitement from The Game Awards about the return of Lara Croft with two new games, it looks like fans will have to be patient. According to reports, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, originally scheduled for release this year, is now expected in February 2027.

We received this information from @RaidersSociety, who accurately predicted the game’s announcement before TGA 2025. They’re currently labeling this as a rumor because they can’t reveal where they got the information, so it’s important to take it with a grain of salt.

Okay, so it’s a little bummed me out, but thinking about it, it makes total sense why they might be delaying things with Legacy of Atlantis. Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming out November 19th, and that’s a huge deal! Legacy of Atlantis could still come out before then, but it would be going up against some massive games. We’ve got Marvel’s Wolverine in September, Fable this fall, and rumors of a Halo campaign this summer. Plus, there’s Gears of War: E-Day and a new Call of Duty on the way too – it’s just a really crowded year for releases!

Honestly, a little more development time would be great, even with Tomb Raider: Catalyst already planned for release this year. It’s supposed to be a game made by fans, for fans, and I think giving the developers extra time to really polish it would be a huge benefit. I’d rather wait for something amazing than rush a good game.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Catalyst will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
