Many players enjoy Tomodachi Life by creating characters and watching their lives unfold, often with surprising and funny results. Now, with Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, Nintendo is letting players design the island where everything happens, adding a whole new level of customization. It feels like a new beginning for the series – welcome to the Tomodachi Crossing era, and I’m really excited about it!
It often begins with a simple idea, like adding more plants, but quickly leads to spending lots of Bells on decorations using the new Quik Build feature. Players might then decide to dramatically expand their island, reshape it into multiple smaller islands, or even design it to look like a Mii’s face. If major landscaping isn’t your style, you can always just move buildings and shops around.
The game’s creation tools are incredibly detailed! With Palette House, you can design everything from the outside of homes to intricate latte art and even create unique pets for your characters. And now, Miis can share houses together – up to eight can live in one building and interact as a group. You can also give each Mii little personality traits, like favorite phrases or habits, such as tossing and turning in their sleep or wiping their brow.
The game Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream comes out on April 16th for Nintendo Switch. It might be a great option for players who enjoy Animal Crossing: New Horizons. You can find more information here.
