The Netflix family is mourning one of their own.
I’m absolutely heartbroken! Tony Germano, you guys, Tony Germano is gone. I was such a huge fan – he was the voice behind so many characters, but I especially loved him in Go, Dog, Go! on Netflix. It’s just… unbelievable. I just read that he tragically fell and… well, he’s 55. It’s just awful. People magazine confirmed it, and I honestly can’t even process it right now. He was amazing.
I was so incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Tony Germano. He died on Wednesday, November 26th, after a fall at his home. It’s just heartbreaking, and I’ll always remember his amazing work as an actor and voice artist.
The representative asked for compassion and patience as Tony’s family, friends, and coworkers grieve. He will be remembered for his hard work, kindness, and incredible skills, which positively impacted everyone who knew him. His loss will be profoundly felt by all.
A service was held for him at the Bosque da Paz Cemetery in Vargem Grande Paulista on November 27th, and he will be buried shortly after.
According to a report in Folha de Sao Paulo from November 26th, Germano died at his parents’ home in São Paulo after falling from the roof while overseeing renovations. The report, originally published in Portuguese, states he was supervising the work when the accident occurred.

Besides his work with Netflix, Germano also had roles in several popular shows and movies, including Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Disney’s Elena of Avalor, and The Muppets. He also appeared in the 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast. His more recent credits include Labyrinth of Lost Boys (2025) and An Unforgettable Year: Autumn (2023).
Germano enjoyed a successful stage career, appearing in popular musicals like The Phantom of the Opera, Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon, and Something Rotten!. He recently shared how grateful he was for every part he had played.
He shared a video on Instagram on July 3rd, reflecting on his long career. In a translated post, he wrote, “Just a reminder of everything I’ve accomplished over the past 30+ years.”
