Konami, a Japanese publisher, has revealed that a novel based on their newest game is in the works, written by author Shiro Kuro.
This book retells the story of the game, written by renowned visual novel author Ryukishi07, but in a traditional book format. It might even be a little less scary this way!
Kadokawa will release the book on October 30th, but it’s currently unknown if an English version will be available.
If the Japanese release is successful and the game becomes popular, we expect a Western publisher to consider bringing it over.
Japan enjoys a lot of novel adaptations of video games, and both Death Stranding and its follow-up have gotten one too.
