Toonami Finally Gets One of the Biggest Modern Anime With 2026 Schedule Update

Toonami, Adult Swim’s popular anime block, is getting a big update in 2026. A recently announced schedule change reveals that a hugely popular anime series will finally be added to the lineup after five years. Even though there are now more ways than ever to watch anime, Toonami still offers a unique experience. It’s known for showcasing some of the biggest and most influential anime hits in the West, and continues to introduce fans to great shows.

Toonami has had a strong start to the year with Adult Swim, already expanding its programming by thirty minutes compared to last year. Now, the official Toonami Facebook page has announced more changes coming in February: the popular anime Tokyo Revengers will be added to the lineup. This is exciting news for fans, as Tokyo Revengers has been a hit since its 2021 debut and is considered a must-see show.

Toonami Adds Tokyo Revengers to Schedule for February 2026

Here’s the new Toonami schedule for Saturday, February 7th (all times are Eastern Standard Time), as announced by Adult Swim:

  • 12:00AM – Primal Season 3
  • 12:30AM – Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 – Conflict
  • 1:00AM – Blue Lock
  • 1:30AM – Tokyo Revengers
  • 2:00AM – One Piece
  • 2:30AM – Dragon Ball Daima
  • 3:00AM – Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead
  • 3:30AM – Rick and Morty: The Anime (Dub)

As a huge Toonami fan, I was thrilled to see them kick off the year with two awesome licenses – Tokyo Revengers and Blue Lock both hitting the block in February! It’s a really positive sign. Things have changed so much with streaming – we’ve got way more access to anime than ever before, and honestly, that’s led to a golden age for anime fans. But with so much to choose from, it also really highlights how important it is to have a good curator – someone who picks out the best stuff, and that’s always been Toonami’s strength!

Toonami Leading the Charge for Anime in 2026

While Toonami isn’t as influential as it once was with anime fans—many viewers have moved away from traditional TV—it still offers something special: a shared experience. It’s one of the few consistent blocks of programming still on TV, and it’s a place where anime fans can enjoy shows knowing others are watching at the same time.

Despite the rise of streaming and staggered release schedules, having a specific time when everyone watches and discusses new anime episodes together is still valuable. This shared experience is becoming increasingly rare and important, as streaming services continue to fragment audiences and expand anime’s popularity.
