Top 10 Crunchyroll Anime Releases For January, Ranked

January 2026 is shaping up to be a massive month for anime fans! Not only does it mark the start of the new year, but it’s also seeing a huge wave of both new and returning series. It’s almost like all the biggest anime shows decided to premiere this month! Here at egmr.ru, we’re highlighting the top ten series coming to Crunchyroll and ranking them to help you decide what to watch. Let’s dive in!

10.) Kaya-Chan Isn’t Scary

Here at egmr.ru, we’re big fans of horror and often talk about the lack of truly scary anime, beyond adaptations of Junji Ito’s work. This month’s new series, Kaya-Chan Isn’t Scary, centers around a seemingly emotionless kindergartner who secretly works to banish evil spirits. While the show is definitely funny, it promises some genuinely creepy creatures if it follows the original manga by Taro Yuri – potentially making it one of the scariest anime of 2026. It arrives on January 11th, and could be a great watch for fans of both comedy and horror.

9.) Fate/Strange Fake

The Fate series is hugely popular, not only through its anime but also its video games. Fate/Strange Fake continues the story of the Holy Grail War – a fight where participants battle for a wish-granting device – and has quickly become a fan favorite. The new series centers around Ayaka Sajo as she unravels her past and deals with a difficult present. It follows previous Fate installments released in 2023 and 2024, and fans have eagerly awaited its arrival – and with good reason.

8.) Fire Force Season 3 Part 2

While it doesn’t generate quite as much buzz as popular anime like Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia, Fire Force has been incredibly well-received. The first part of the series, produced by David Production, was known for its surprising twists, and now that these are the final episodes, viewers can expect even more shocking moments. As Shinra and Company 8 reach the end of their animated journey, it’s sure to be a spectacular finale.

7.) Golden Kamuy Final Season

Similar to Fire Force, Golden Kamuy sometimes gets overlooked when compared to more popular anime series. And just like the story of Shinra will soon conclude, so will Saichi Sugimoto’s adventure with these final episodes. Reaching five seasons is a significant accomplishment, and despite not featuring epic space battles or energy blasts, Golden Kamuy has earned a dedicated fanbase through its smart writing and stunning visuals.

6.) Oshi no Ko Season 3

As a huge fan, I’ve been following Oshi no Ko closely! It really took off when it first dropped on HIDIVE, quickly becoming their most popular original series. Now, get this – Crunchyroll has snagged the exclusive rights for the third season, which is coming later this month! We’ll be diving back into Aqua and Ai’s story as the anime finally heads towards the manga’s ending. Expect more of that intense, sometimes dark look at the idol industry we’ve come to love. The good news? Doga Kobo is back for the animation, so visually, it’s going to be just as stunning as before!

5.) My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2

Even while the original My Hero Academia was still airing, fans were excited about My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. With the main series now finished, we predict many viewers will turn to this spin-off, following the stories of Crawler, Knuckleduster, and Pop Step. The second season will expand on the trio’s adventures and also offer a deeper look into the world of UA Academy. Having established these heroes who operate outside the law, the new season promises larger conflicts and the return of some known characters.

4.) Trigun Stargaze

This month, Studio Orange is revisiting the world of Trigun with a continuation of Vash the Stampede’s story. Following the successful launch of Trigun Stampede, Trigun Stargaze is set to conclude this new chapter. Studio Orange is once again using its distinctive computer-generated animation style to bring the Planet Gunsmoke to life. Given the enthusiastic reception of Stampede, anticipation for Stargaze is incredibly high, making it a must-see for fans.

3.) Hell’s Paradise Season 2

Despite being a standout anime, Hell’s Paradise often gets lost in the shuffle due to the popularity of other shows from Studio MAPPA. The second season promises to reveal the mysteries of the cursed island where Gabimaru and the other characters find themselves. After a three-year wait, fans can finally look forward to its return, and it’s expected to be one of the most intense anime releases of 2026.

2.) Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2

When Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End debuted in 2023, it rapidly became a standout anime series. Its thoughtful and personal story has clearly connected with viewers, and with the highly respected studio Madhouse animating it, expectations are high for a strong second season. The beautiful animation and engaging storytelling easily place it as our number two pick, though one anime continues to generate even more anticipation among fans.

1.) Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3

Jujutsu Kaisen has quickly become one of the most popular anime series, recently achieving huge success in theaters with the movie, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution. The second season covered the intense Shibuya Incident Arc, which dramatically changed the landscape of the story by eliminating key characters and setting the stage for the current season’s arc, The Culling Game. Now, Yuji Itadori and the heroes who made it through Shibuya are dealing with the consequences of Suguru Geto’s actions, and Yuji must also battle Yuta Okkotsu, a prominent character from the prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Many fans agree that Jujutsu Kaisen’s return is the biggest anime comeback this month.
