The popular Pokémon Trading Card Game recently finished its three-year run with the Scarlet & Violet series, releasing its final set last year. Now, the game has moved into a new era focused on Mega Evolution, which connects to the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A game. However, Scarlet & Violet cards were often hard to find, so many collectors are still trying to complete their collections. Even now, you’re more likely to find an older Scarlet & Violet booster pack than a new one, as availability remains limited.
It’s fascinating to track the value of popular Pokémon cards, whether you’re actively collecting the latest sets like Scarlet & Violet or just interested in resale trends. Here’s a look at the most expensive chase cards from Scarlet & Violet sets – including Prismatic Evolutions and Paldea Evolved – as of 2026, with price data sourced from TCG Player and PriceCharting.
7) Venusaur ex Special Illustration Rare (Scarlet & Violet 151)

This Pokémon card is part of the highly sought-after Scarlet & Violet 151 collection. The 2023 set commemorates the first 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region. This card, a Special Illustration Rare, depicts Venusaur surrounded by vibrant flowers and is considered one of the harder cards to find within the set.
An ungraded Venusaur ex Special Illustration Rare card is currently selling for about $140 to $160. If the card has been graded a 10 by PSA, it’s recently sold for around $580. Overall, the value of this card has increased a little since the release of the Scarlet & Violet 151 collection. While lower grades (up to a PSA 9) haven’t seen much of a price change, PSA 10 cards have significantly increased in value over the past few months.
6) Blastoise ex Special Illustration Rare (Scarlet & Violet 151)

The Pokémon card Blastoise ex, from the Scarlet & Violet 151 set, features beautiful full-art imagery of the evolved form of Squirtle underwater. Even as a big fan of Bulbasaur, I think this card looks better than the Venusaur card. It seems others agree, as Blastoise ex generally sells for a little more than Venusaur, likely due to the artwork, its popularity, or how hard it is to find.
Okay, so I’ve been keeping an eye on Blastoise ex prices, and the regular, ungraded ones have been pretty consistent around $140-$150 for a while now – there’s been a good number of them sold. But if you’re after a perfect PSA 10 grade, things are getting expensive! They’ve been going for $650 to $750 since the beginning of the year, and honestly, it looks like those perfect cards are only getting harder to snag without paying more and more. The prices for ungraded and lower-graded (up to a PSA 9) cards haven’t really moved, but that PSA 10 is definitely climbing.
5) Pikachu Pokemon Center Exclusive Promo (Paldean Fates)

This collectible card showcases charming artwork of Pikachu with the first partner Pokémon from the Paldea region. It was only available as a bonus when people purchased a special edition of the Paldea Evolved Elite Trainer Box in 2023. The card includes the official Pokémon Center stamp and is considered rare because it was exclusively sold through Pokémon Center stores, making it a standout card from the Scarlet & Violet series.
This promotional card is expected to be worth around $150 in 2026 if it’s in normal condition. However, a card graded PSA 10 could be worth much more—recent sales in January 2026 show them selling for around $1,500. This is a significant increase from 2024, when a PSA 10 version sold for about $250.
4) Snorlax Pokemon Center Exclusive Promo (Scarlet & Violet 151)

This Snorlax promo card was a special item available only at the Pokemon Center when the Scarlet & Violet 151 Elite Trainer Box was released in 2023. The card features a relaxed Snorlax resting near a river, with a Pidgey perched on its stomach. It’s easily identifiable thanks to the unique Pokemon Center stamp, which shows it’s rarer than a typical Black Star promo card.
The special Snorlax card, only available at Pokemon Centers, has been selling for around $270 recently if it hasn’t been professionally graded. A regular version of the same card costs only about $25. If the Snorlax card receives a perfect grade of 10 from PSA, it can sell for over $1,500 – as of late March 2026. Prices had dropped a little earlier in the year, but they’re now back up, suggesting the value of this card is still fluctuating.
3) Charmander Pokemon Center Exclusive Promo (Obsidian Flames)

This special promotional card, featuring the well-known ‘smooshed face’ Charmander meme, was originally included with exclusive Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes. Considering how popular the meme is, it’s surprising the card isn’t selling for even more. However, it remains one of the most valuable cards from the 2026 Scarlet & Violet series, particularly if it’s been professionally graded.
Currently, a Pokemon card with the Pokemon Center stamp is worth about $181 if it hasn’t been professionally graded. The Black Star promo version of the card is much cheaper, around $61. However, a perfectly graded (PSA 10) card with the Pokemon Center stamp can sell for over $3,300, as seen on eBay just last month. This makes it a highly sought-after and valuable card from the Scarlet & Violet series.
2) Charizard ex Special Illustration Rare (Scarlet & Violet 151)

As expected, the Charizard ex Special Illustration Rare from the Scarlet & Violet 151 set is the most valuable card. Released in 2023 with the Scarlet & Violet 151 expansion, it has consistently been one of the most sought-after cards since then. While the Charizard itself is relatively small on the card, depicted flying over a volcanic landscape, it features a particularly beautiful visual effect.
Even without a professional grade, this card will likely cost you $400 or more. Surprisingly, a perfect PSA 10 graded version sells for around $1,800 – less than some other rare cards from the Scarlet & Violet set. However, considering that even ungraded or lower-condition cards cost hundreds of dollars, this remains one of the most valuable chase cards released during the Scarlet & Violet series.
1) Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat (Black Star Promo)

I’ll never forget the Pokemon x Van Gogh museum exhibit – it was crazy when they had to stop handing out the promotional cards because of scalpers! And every time I see this Pikachu card, which is a gorgeous take on Van Gogh’s famous painting, I think back to that. It’s a shame the event was cut short, because it seems like that just made the card even more valuable for the people who did manage to get one.
The Pikachu card with the grey felt hat is a highly valuable Pokémon collectible, often selling for high prices on the secondhand market. Even without professional grading, it typically costs over $850 – more than some highly sought-after Charizard cards from the Scarlet & Violet 151 set. A Pikachu card in perfect condition (graded PSA 10) recently sold for around $2,500 as of today, April 4th.
