Tori Spelling is recovering from a terrifying incident.
Actress Tori Spelling, known from Beverly Hills, 90210, was hospitalized in April after a car crash. Her children—Liam (19), Stella (17), Hattie (14), Finn (13), and Beau (9)—were also involved, along with three other people. Spelling’s ex-husband, Dean McDermott, was not mentioned as being involved in the incident, according to TMZ.
I was so shocked to hear about the crash in Temecula! I read that the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirmed deputies responded around 5:45 p.m. and found two cars had been damaged when they arrived on the scene.
Okay, so here’s what happened – a scary situation for Tori Spelling and her family. I heard she was driving with seven kids – four of her own and three friends’ – when another driver reportedly ran a red light and hit their car. Thankfully, everyone was checked out right at the scene, but the police are still looking into exactly what happened and haven’t made any arrests yet. It’s definitely a reminder of how quickly things can change, and I’m sending all my positive energy to her and the kids.
Tori and the seven other passengers were taken to the hospital in three ambulances and received treatment for injuries like concussions, bruises, cuts, and general soreness, according to reports.
This isn’t the first scary car accident Tori Spelling has been in with her children. Back in 2011, she crashed into a wall while being pursued by photographers. She was pregnant at the time and driving her two oldest children to school.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what happened! She tweeted about it, and it’s just… terrifying. Apparently, paparazzi were chasing her and her kids to school, like, seriously chasing them! She was trying to get away from one of them and ended up having a huge accident – she actually took down an entire wall of the school building! I’m just so worried about her and the kids, it’s awful!

Even after the actress from Scary Movie 2 was in a car accident, she said the photographer kept trying to take pictures of her, her daughter Stella, and her son Liam, who were three and four years old then.
She added that he still attempted to take pictures, but ten mothers from the school chased him away. She questioned how far things would have to go, asking if someone needed to be hurt before the paparazzi would stop.
Although the family was thankfully unharmed in the crash, Tori said she plans to see a doctor to get checked out afterward.
“Going to dr now to check on baby,” she wrote. “I think its just shock.”

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she had been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.
I saw this hilarious message from a friend on X – you might remember it as Twitter! She jokingly called me out for being quiet online, and then dropped this amazing line: ‘Have I ever considered that a pair of super-tight pants from six months ago might have given me a hernia and I’ve just been too afraid to mention it?’ Honestly, it perfectly captures the absurdity of life and how we sometimes hide things, even silly ones. It made me laugh so hard, and it’s a good reminder not to take things too seriously!

You know, I’ve really come to understand that pain is just part of life – it ebbs and flows. I’ve got a few quirks and little things that aren’t quite perfect with my body, and that’s okay! It’s all part of being human, and I’ve learned to accept that.

While the internet isn’t always a kind place, Amy Schumer is happy that, in this case, it helped her get answers.
“The internet really came for me after doing a bunch of press, and I was like, ‘OK everybody, relax,'” Amy recalled of her “puffier” face on a January 2025 episode of Call Her Daddy. “But then doctors were chiming in in the comments and they were like, ‘No no, we think something’s really up. Your face looks so crazy that we think something’s up. And I’m like, ‘Wait, I’m getting trolled by doctors?’”
After these doctors said they thought she had Cushing syndrome and that it may be caused by spiking coritsol levels or steroid injections, the Life & Beth creator thought, “Wait, I have been getting steroid injections in my scars.”
“I had a breast reduction, a C-section, whatever, and so I was getting these steroid injections,” Amy said. “So it gave me this thing called Cushing syndrome, which I wouldn’t have known if the internet hadn’t come for me so hard.”
Toda, Amy is just relieved she’s OK. As she shared in a February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter, “Finding out I have the kind of Cushing that will just work itself out and I’m healthy was the greatest news imaginable.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly started having stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and noticing her face drooping. Although these symptoms eventually subsided, she went to the hospital for testing. Doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which they diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), often called a ‘mini-stroke’. Further investigation at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to reach her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the hole in her heart and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, adding that while the situation was frightening and unexpected, he was going to be completely fine and she was grateful he was on the mend.

Jamie Foxx initially kept the details of his health scare in April 2023 private, but he later shared what happened. He explained that while in Atlanta, he suffered a severe headache and asked for aspirin. Before he could take it, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed which led to a stroke.
Twenty days after surgery, on May 4th, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for all the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

The reality TV star said she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
It was terrifying. She explained that her body was failing – her organs were actually shutting down. She later found out it was rhabdomyolysis, and she described it as her body’s desperate way of signaling it was reaching its limit. It’s like it was giving up, and she hadn’t even realized how sick she was!

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden and severe headache at the gym, followed by intense pain and vomiting. She quickly realized something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, leaving her unable to speak clearly.
Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a follow-up scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This surgery was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a life-threatening situation. Doctors had to perform an extremely invasive procedure, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports that she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.

Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. While she could have gone home after the stroke, she was also dealing with complications from lupus and kidney problems.
Now, Cori is recovering well. She says she’s doing great and is working on regaining some motor skills, but overall feels good.

Shailene Woodley struggled with serious health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described losing her hearing, being unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours, and experiencing constant stomach pain. Doctors offered various diagnoses, leaving her feeling confused.
Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has a background in herbalism, combined traditional medical care with alternative healing methods. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.
The physical discomfort led to emotional challenges, including fear of food, body dysmorphia, and a struggle with her identity and self-image. However, after addressing both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now feeling much better and is happy to report that she is fully healthy.
