Tori Spelling Breaks Silence on Car Crash, Hospitalization

Tori Spelling is sharing an update after a scary ordeal.

Following a car accident that sent the Beverly Hills, 90210 star and her four children to the hospital, Tori Spelling has been sharing her thoughts on what happened. She and her ex-husband, Dean McDermott, are parents to Liam (19), Stella (17), Hattie (14), Finn (13), and Beau (9).

I wanted to share what happened recently – it’s been hard to talk about, but a few days before Easter, my four kids, three of their friends, and I were in a car accident in Temecula. Thankfully, we’re all okay, but it’s been incredibly overwhelming. We feel so incredibly grateful and lucky that things weren’t much worse. I just wanted everyone to know what’s been going on.

Spelling also stated that the other driver was reportedly speeding, describing their speed as extremely fast.

I’m so thankful that we had what felt like guardian angels watching over us that day,” Spelling, 52, explained. “I glanced to my right and saw another car heading straight for the side of ours, and it looked like a full-on collision was about to happen.

“And I turned hard left as hard as I could,” she continued, “as fast as I could to avoid as much impact on the children as possible. He spun us out.”

Okay, so after she posted that incredibly emotional video, the amazing actress – seriously, she’s just the best – she took the time to thank all the first responders. It meant so much to her, and to her family and friends who were there, you know, helping everyone. It was just…so good to see her acknowledge them after everything. I was honestly tearing up just watching her thank them!

She added that she was thankful for all the support she’d received, including people checking in on them, offering help, and sending well wishes.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office told People magazine that deputies responded to a car crash in Temecula, California, on April 2nd. When they arrived, they found two cars had been damaged.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

She explained that many girls are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being a woman. This often leaves them dealing with a common issue in silence and without support.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap in her abdominal muscles.

Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t tweeted in a while. Suki jokingly replied, explaining she’d been hiding a painful injury – a hernia caused by wearing very tight pants six months ago – and was afraid to mention it.

“It’s been a really difficult time,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I’ve been experiencing spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was in a life-threatening situation—I was told I was dying within the last year.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite working as it should.

A former contestant on The Bachelor recently went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.

He described a lingering tingling sensation in his knees and toes during a March 2025 episode of his podcast, Trading Secrets. To give some context, he explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds. Now, he can’t even do a squat, can’t balance on one leg, and falls over, describing the feeling as similar to having a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

He instantly checked me over and got me to the hospital so fast. I was hit five times, and one bullet actually came within less than an inch of my right eye. It was a truly scary experience, and I’m so grateful for Brendan’s quick thinking.

The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She shared how much she loves her family and friends, saying, ‘I really saw how precious life is, so cherish every moment with the people you care about, because things can change quickly.’

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its downsides, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier” and receiving criticism online, doctors began commenting, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome – a condition potentially caused by high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Schumer to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She wouldn’t have known about the condition without the online scrutiny. Fortunately, doctors determined her case of Cushing syndrome would resolve on its own, which Schumer called “the greatest news imaginable.” She’s now relieved to be healthy.

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially unable to respond when Justin asked if she was okay. She then realized she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop.

Although her speech and facial movement eventually returned, Hailey went to the hospital where scans revealed she’d had a small blood clot in her brain, diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).

Further testing at UCLA discovered Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her brain through this opening, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, causing paralysis. He showed fans he couldn’t blink, smile, or move his nostril on the affected side, and that eating had become increasingly difficult. Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away.

Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better. She described the situation as scary and unexpected, but expressed gratitude that he was going to be okay.

In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he was suffering from a severe headache when he suddenly lost consciousness. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, became concerned and took him to the hospital. Doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.

After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed deep gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. After that, everything went dark, but she then experienced a bright light, which led her to realize she had died that day.

She explained that her organs were failing and she hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially begins to shut down.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always amazed by people’s resilience, and Emilia Clarke’s story is truly inspiring. Many of you probably know her from Game of Thrones, but what most people don’t know is the incredible health battle she fought alongside filming the show. Back in 2019, she bravely shared her experience with a near-fatal brain injury in an essay for The New Yorker. It all started with a terrible headache at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong. It turned out she’d suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She had immediate surgery, but even after recovery, a follow-up scan in 2013 revealed the growth had doubled in size, requiring another surgery. This one was even more intense, needing them to access her brain directly through her skull. She was in excruciating pain, and the procedure initially failed, leading to a massive bleed. Thankfully, the doctors were able to operate again. Now, she’s incredibly grateful to be at 100% and is sharing her story to raise awareness and inspire others. It’s a powerful reminder to prioritize your health and listen to your body.

She immediately contacted them, sending a text and a photo, and they quickly came to her aid, as she shared with TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, existing health issues – specifically lupus and failing kidneys – required a longer hospital stay. Cori is now recovering well, stating she’s “doing great” and has been working to regain some motor skills. She’s optimistic about her progress and feeling much better.

Shailene Woodley struggled with serious health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described losing her hearing, being unable to walk for more than a few minutes without needing to rest for hours, and experiencing constant stomach pain. She faced confusion as different doctors offered varying diagnoses.

Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has kept the specifics of her condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.

She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and eventually to body image issues and a struggle with her sense of self. However, after focusing on both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now doing much better. She happily shared that her health issues have resolved and she is currently very healthy.
