Get the details below.
■ Characters
Professor Albert Russell (voiced by Jim Meskimen in English, Yoku Shioya in Japanese)
- Age: 68
A genius orbal engineer of the Liberl Kingdom.
A free-spirited, eccentric orbal engineer.
Renowned innovator, Professor Russell, was instrumental in the development of orbal technology, leaving an indelible mark on its progression. He established what is now known as the Zeiss Central Factory, initially called the Zeiss Engineering Factory, and is renowned for creating the contemporary airship design we know today.
Additionally, he is known as one of the prominent students of Professor C. Epstein, the innovator behind orbments.
Kilika Rouran (voiced by Meli Grant in English, Haruka Michii in Japanese)
- Age: 27
A receptionist of the Bracer Guild’s Zeiss branch.
A lady hailing from the Calvard Republic, who works as the front desk attendant at the Zeiss division of the Bracer Guild.
Kilika consistently plans several moves in advance and takes precautions against potential problems, showcasing exceptional analytical abilities that surpass typical expectations for a guild receptionist.
Apart from being proficient in martial arts, she’s been acquainted with the bracer Zin from the Republic for quite some time as well.
Major Maximillian Cid (voiced by John Patneaude in English, Kengo Takanashi in Japanese)
- Age: 32
The commanding officer of Leiston Fortress.
Major Cid consistently upholds the utmost military integrity, setting a high bar for discipline. His consistent, honorable conduct has won over the loyalty and admiration of those under his command.
In the esteemed Royal Army of Liberl, Cid’s combat abilities are exceptionally diverse, with mastery in both sword fighting and orbal arts, placing him among the elite few at the pinnacle of skill.
Maintenance Chief Gustav (voiced by Andrew Kishino in English, Makoto Sahara in Japanese)
- Age: 48
The head of maintenance at the Zeiss Central Factory is often identified by his bandana and scruffy beard.
Regarding his stern and diligent demeanor, it’s worth noting that he also has a remarkable ability to be patient and understanding. This is evident in how he handles the worries of Factory Chief Murdock and the challenging behavior of Professor Russell.
Besides his duties, Gustav additionally serves as the head supervisor onboard the prestigious factory vessel, the Leibnitz, a title held with great reverence from Zeiss. The high regard in which his mechanical expertise is held by those in his vicinity is undeniable.
■ Locations
Industrial City of Zeiss
The heart of the Kingdom of Liberl’s orbment production industry.
In a place where imagination becomes reality, I find myself residing – Zeiss, the city that’s not just on the ground, but also above and beneath it! It’s here where innovative technologies like escalators, elevators, and even airship landing ports that change lanes effortlessly are made possible. Beneath its bustling streets lies an intricate orbal factory, a hidden marvel showcasing some of the most advanced technology not just in our city, but across the entire continent.
The Zeiss Central Factory, a key player in advanced orbital research and production, doubles as the administrative center of the city. Its leader, Murdock, functions much like a mayor within Zeiss.
Elmo Village
This village, located adjacent to the east border with the Republic of Calvard, is well-known for its warm mineral springs.
Despite being a tiny settlement featuring only the Maple Leaf Inn and a solitary souvenir shop, Elmo boasts open-air baths that provide a refreshing ambiance and have garnered high praise from tourists. These baths are often the reason for repeat visits by travelers from around the world seeking a tranquil escape.
In the heart of Elmo, I find myself surrounded by a captivating blend of cultures, as many locals hail from the East. The town’s architecture and interior design echo this Eastern influence, creating an atmosphere that is uniquely enchanting to me.
Leiston Fortress
Perched along the southern edge of Valleria Lake, this fortress stands as the main base for Liberl’s Royal Military Forces.
On multiple occasions, Leiston Fortress surpasses Haken Gate in size, and it is meticulously managed by Major Cid, its commanding officer, located in the north of Bose. Inside, soldiers rigorously practice their skills and carry out their responsibilities.
Approximately a decade past, when the Hundred-Day War between our realm and the Erebonian Empire unfolded, this very stronghold was the solitary one that managed to withstand Imperial forces. Consequently, it became the strategic base for the Royal Army’s relentless counterattack efforts.
Crimson Tower
Situated on the vast Tratt Plains, southeast of Zeiss, this grand old ruin dates back approximately 1,200 years.
Consistent with its moniker, the structure appears to represent flames and the fiery shade of carnelian, often referred to as the “fire septium.” The tower’s interior is bathed in the dancing light of torches, and artifacts crafted from carnelian have been uncovered within its walls.

In “Trails in the Sky the 1st”, you’ll find shortcuts to a range of helpful notebooks for your journey. These include the “Bracer Notebook” which logs quest information automatically, the “Battle Notebook” that records enemy details, and the “Cooking Notebook” which comes in handy when preparing food.
Bracer Notebook
The system automatically records information about quests taken from the Bracer Guild’s notice board and significant narrative events. Furthermore, upon completion of a quest, a special photo related to that quest, along with a brief message from Estelle, is included.
Cooking Notebook
Tracks the meals that Estelle and her group consume during their adventure, offering you a chance to recreate those dishes using ingredients available to you. Preparing these dishes can lead to unique effects, including boosting your party’s abilities for the first time. By preparing specific dishes, Estelle and her companions might also find inspiration to create their own unique arrangements…
Battle Notebook
In battle, the system automatically gathers data on opponents when they’re defeated or stunned. This data includes their fundamental statistics, vulnerabilities, and potential loot, enabling you to approach battles more strategically.
