Traitors’ Ron Funches Accuses Dorinda Medley of “Terrible Things”

A contestant on the show Traitors recently revealed he was diagnosed with autism after viewers online noticed he might have the condition. He then criticized fellow contestant Dorinda Medley for how she behaved towards him while they were filming.

After a recent episode of the Peacock series, someone on Threads pointed out that comments made by a former Real Housewives of New York cast member about a player named Ron feel more impactful now that he’s shared his medical diagnosis, suggesting it shows how easily unconscious biases appear on reality TV. This led Ron to openly share his own perspective on the situation.

He wrote on January 23rd that she showed clear prejudice. He explained that she said hurtful things to him, but because these comments were private and unrelated to the game itself, they weren’t revealed publicly. He described his reaction as an unexpected outburst on his part.

TopMob News has reached out to Dorinda’s rep and Peacock for comment and has yet to hear back.

Ron hinted on social media that he and Dorinda had a difficult exchange during filming of The Traitors. He said Dorinda called him a “Housewife hunter” after she suspected both her and Porsha Williams of being Traitors. She also seemed upset that he wasn’t interested in getting to know her better.

Dorinda said on January 15th, “You’ve decided to come after me, and that’s okay.” She explained that she’d made an effort to learn about his family, asking where he lived and about his children.

Ron, who was eliminated in episode six after being suspected of wrongdoing for several weeks, believed that the players’ private lives shouldn’t affect the competition.

He snapped, “My family is private and none of your concern.” He explained that he intentionally keeps his distance from people, believing it prevents him from becoming biased and allows him to conduct a fair investigation.

Dorinda hasn’t publicly addressed the comedian’s recent claims, but she did share more details about her relationship with Ron during the Roundtable discussion.

She recalled a moment on the Roundtable discussion when someone said, ‘I don’t care about your family,’ and felt it was very harsh. Speaking on her SiriusXM show, Reality Checked, on January 22nd, she noted that people often say much more aggressive things during those discussions, and Michael Rapaport didn’t even react to it.

I didn’t react the way I normally would on the show because, honestly, I was glad he showed his true colors,” Dorinda explained. “Sometimes you reach a point where you don’t even need to say anything – their actions speak for themselves. In this case, my silence made a bigger impact.

The former star of Ultimate Girls Trip shared that she’s excited to confront Ron at the Traitors reunion, and she’s curious about why he focused on two Real Housewives while playing the game.

She suggested he might just not be a fan of the show. It could be that straightforward, she explained, and insisted nothing happened behind the scenes. The strange thing was, he didn’t say much when the cameras weren’t rolling. She felt they never truly connected with him, which was really upsetting, and she admitted she almost started crying.
