Travis Kelce Reacts to Taylor Swift Being Called the “Best Girlfriend”

Travis Kelce doesn’t know how it gets better than his relationship with Taylor Swift.

This is why, during the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament, the NFL tight end promptly concurred when a fan exclaimed, “You’re going to ace it! You have the most wonderful partner in the world.

“Good point,” he said in a video shared to social media July 14. “That’s a good point.”

Indeed, the reminder seemed to have done the trick as Travis subsequently sent a stunning golf shot soaring along the green.

Despite not winning the top prize at this year’s tournament, which was claimed by Joe Pavelski of the NHL, his girlfriend makes him feel victorious in other aspects of his life.

Attend this year’s Tight End University, the annual workshop led by Travis alongside George Kittle and Greg Olsen. In June, Taylor added an exciting touch to the event by performing “Shake It Off” with country singer Kane Brown on stage.

During the July 2nd episode of their “New Heights” podcast, Travis shared with his brother Jason Kelce that “she’s fantastic at putting everyone at ease and making them feel comfortable. She once again nailed her performance on stage, it was amazing!

Additionally, the 35-year-old provided a behind-the-scenes look at the formation of the extraordinary partnership between Taylor and Kane.

At Tight End & Friends, it was clear that Kane Brown, a seasoned professional, was present. Travis remarked, “He’s got it all figured out. He’s a true pro, who’s performed countless times before.” Tay then approached him and the band, saying something like, “If you’re open to it, I’d love to join you on stage and see if we can really liven up this place with a song.

After that, the performer of Midnights prepared everyone on stage to give their finest performance.

Travis described how Taylor was arranging the musical pieces in private before the performance. Without rehearsing, she stepped onto the stage and delivered a flawless performance that left everyone amazed. It was truly impressive, he said.

It was quite fitting that Taylor chose to perform at the stage, considering the location of Tight End University, as a tribute to her hometown roots.

Travis mentioned, ‘She hails from right here in Nashville.’ He moved there as a child, and it’s true, we’ve had an idea brewing for quite some time – to let loose with the tight ends.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romantic journey started in July 2023, as her Eras Tour passed through Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Being a big fan of Taylor Swift, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs attended the concert, hoping to present her with a friendship bracelet bearing his number. Unfortunately, he was unable to do so because of her pre-performance routines.

Travis explained on his New Heights podcast on July 26th that he felt let down because she doesn’t speak before or after her performances due to conserving her voice for the 44 songs she sings. Consequently, he was a bit disappointed that he didn’t get the chance to give her one of the bracelets he had made for her.

Following an embarrassing slip-up, which Travis himself would label as “purely metal,” he mustered up the courage to extend an invitation to the Grammy-winning artist to catch a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium.

He expressed on The Pat McAfee Show that he made an invitation, essentially tossing the challenge her way by saying, “I’ve noticed your impressive performances at Arrowhead. Perhaps you should come and witness me perform there too, so we can both see who lights up the stage more.” Let’s wait and see what unfolds in the coming days.

At the time when Travis was initially presented to Taylor, he was sporting a mustache that he had grown in August, during the training camp.

During that period, he later remarked, “For a while, my mustache and number 87 jersey were quite famous, and I wore them when I first encountered Taylor.

According to a reliable source, by early September, Travis and Taylor had been exchanging occasional texts and conversations.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Following Travis’ invitation, Taylor attended the game with Donna Kelce, the athlete’s mother, at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on him and the Kansas City Chiefs as they played against the Chicago Bears. After the match concluded, photos emerged of Taylor and Travis engaging in public displays of affection at a nearby bar.

Despite the belief that they first met face-to-face, the “Karma” singer later made it clear that they had already spent a substantial period of time communicating and getting acquainted prior to their initial encounter.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show things were getting more serious, Taylor invited her group of friends, including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski, to watch the Chiefs battle the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

It’s another indication that Travis might be “The 1,” as Taylor seems to be growing closer to Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Travis’ best friend and teammate Patrick Mahomes, not only during NFL matches but also off the field.

On October 14th, the couple unexpectedly appeared on an episode of Saturday Night Live, which they transformed into a romantic spectacle. This New York City extravaganza encompassed the after-party for the NBC comedy series and a special evening spent at the Waverly Inn.

During my bye week, I made a trip to Argentina to catch the South American leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Not only did I have a fantastic time bonding with Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, at the November 11th show in Buenos Aires, but I was also honored with a special shoutout from the stage itself.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, I, a devoted admirer, couldn’t contain my excitement as I rushed toward Travis backstage for an impassioned embrace – straight from the heart of a Midnights fan!

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She shared with Time magazine, “I’m looking forward to watching him pursue his passion, we’ll be supporting each other. Others will also be present, and it doesn’t matter to us.” The opposite scenario is putting in a great deal of effort to ensure our relationship remains private.

 

On December 17th, the music superstar made Travis’ game a special family event by inviting her father to support him.

Taylor and Travis celebrated their initial New Year’s Eve as a pair, exchanging a tender kiss at the stroke of midnight on January 1.

On February 12th, Taylor shared videos of Travis on social media for the very first time. In the posts, she playfully teased about their outing to a club with the athlete, following the Super Bowl, where they had taken her parents along.

Taylor Swift’s debut Instagram post with Travis Scott was a selfie taken with Prince William, Kate Middleton, their eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, behind the scenes during Taylor’s concert at Wembley Stadium in London for her Eras tour.

At the seventh Eras tour concert he attended (and it was his second time at London’s Wembley Stadium), the NFL player made an appearance on stage alongside his girlfriend, lending support during her rendition of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.

Taylor attended the initial game of the 2024-25 season for the Chiefs alongside Travis. The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.

During the final weekend of 2024, the duo ventured out together for consecutive dates in New York City. They coordinated their ensembles on each occasion.
