Travis Kelce’s Coach Andy Reid Reacts to His Body Transformation

Travis Kelce is ready for the next NFL season.

Indeed, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid remarked that the 35-year-old individual seems to have the appearance of a 20-year-old following his dedication to sculpting his body during the off-season.

Reid informed reporters on July 24th that he looks fit at the moment, he’s performing exceptionally well and he’s maintaining his physical fitness quite impressively.

The 67-year-old continued of Kelce, “You can see he’s been working out.”

In fact, following the 2025 Super Bowl loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in February, the tight end has been dedicated to reshaping his physique. In his own words, “I’ve shed some pounds since the end of the previous season.

At a recent press conference in June, Kelce mentioned that this year he managed to dedicate some time to training for running and addressing certain tasks during the preseason which he couldn’t do last year due to lack of time. He feels great about it and is hopeful that his efforts will yield positive results.

Apart from his professional commitments, Kelce has been spending his leisure time with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. As evidenced by photos posted on Instagram on July 24th, they, along with Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson, embarked on a snowy getaway to Montana. They also organized a summer boat party, complete with customized “Captain” and “First Mate” hats.

“Had some adventures this offseason,” Kelce wrote in the caption. “Kept it 100.”

And the athlete is grateful to have the “Blank Space” singer in his life.

In an interview for the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast in June, Kelce stated plainly, “I have nothing to conceal about my relationship. She is my girlfriend, she is my lady, and I am proud of her, so I am not trying to keep our relationship a secret by any means.

“We’re just enjoying life,” he added. “We’re having fun with it, man, being a couple.”

In July of 2023, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romantic tale kicked off when Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour visited Arrowhead Stadium, located in Kansas City, Missouri.

Being a dedicated Swift fan, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end eagerly tuned into the performance in anticipation of gifting Taylor Swift a charm bracelet adorned with his jersey number. Unfortunately, his attempt to do so was thwarted by her pre-show routines and he missed his chance to make contact.

Travis expressed his feelings of disappointment during the July 26th episode of his New Heights podcast, stating that he felt let down because she doesn’t speak before or after her performances, as she needs to conserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. Consequently, he didn’t have the chance to give her one of the bracelets he made for her personally.

Following his on-field blunder, which Taylor himself labeled as “purely metallic,” Travis bravely extended an invitation for the Grammy winner to witness the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium.

He stated on The Pat McAfee Show: “I suggested it and now it’s up to her, I tossed the ball into her court by saying, ‘I’ve witnessed your amazing performances at Arrowhead, perhaps you should come watch me perform there too, so we can see who puts on a better show.’ So, let’s wait and see what unfolds in the upcoming days.

At the time when Travis was initially presented to Taylor, he was sporting a mustache, which he had grown in August, specifically during training camp.

In the years that followed, I couldn’t help but reflect on how emblematic that mustache and the number 87 were during that period. And as fate would have it, I was sporting them both when I first crossed paths with Taylor.

According to a reliable source, by early September, Travis and Taylor had been exchanging occasional texts and phone calls.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Grasping Travis’ invitation, Taylor attended the game with Donna Kelce, the athlete’s mother, at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer for him and the Kansas City Chiefs as they faced off against the Chicago Bears. Following the match, Taylor and Travis were spotted sharing affectionate moments at a nearby bar.

Contrary to popular belief, the “Karma” singer revealed that they had actually known each other quite well prior to their first face-to-face encounter.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show that their bond was growing stronger, Taylor invited her friends such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski to the game where the Chiefs battled against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

It’s also worth noting that Taylor appears to be growing close to Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Travis’ friend and teammate Patrick Mahomes, both on and off the NFL field.

On October 14th, unexpectedly, the pair moved their relationship into the limelight, appearing on an episode of Saturday Night Live. This New York City extravaganza extended to the post-show party for the NBC comedy series and a special evening out at the Waverly Inn.

During a free week in the NFL schedule, Travis made his way to Argentina to attend Taylor’s Eras Tour concerts in South America. Not only did the football player form a connection with Scott Swift (Taylor’s father) during the Nov. 11 performance in Buenos Aires, but he was also recognized on stage with a special mention.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, the artist of “Midnights” was spotted rushing towards Travis in the backstage area and affectionately kissing him, expressing strong feelings.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She shared with Time magazine: “I’m off to watch him pursue his passion, supporting each other, there will be others present too, and we don’t let it bother us.” The opposite scenario is putting in an extraordinary effort to keep our relationship secret.

 

On December 17th, the music sensation transformed Travis’ game into a familial event, inviting her father to support her partner by cheering him on.

Taylor and Travis celebrated their very first New Year’s Eve as a couple, exchanging a heartfelt kiss at the stroke of midnight on January 1st.

Taylor carried on deepening relationships within Travis’ family as he spent time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, during the Kansas City Chiefs’ match against the Buffalo Bills.

I was there alongside Travis on the football field as the Chiefs claimed their AFC Championship win, a triumph that guaranteed them a place in the 2024 Super Bowl. Sharing in the excitement of that moment, we celebrated with a heartfelt kiss before I expressed my deep affection for him by using the L-word.

“Tay, I’m gonna enjoy with the guys,” he told her. “I love you—so much it’s not funny.”

 
 

On February 11, 2024, following Travis’s leadership that secured a win for the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas, the duo shared a kiss on the field.

On February 12th, Taylor shared videos of Travis on social media for the very first time, playfully jabbing about their parents joining them for a nightclub outing with the athlete following the Super Bowl.

Taylor’s initial Instagram post, which included Travis, was a selfie taken with Prince William, Kate Middleton, their eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, during a backstage meeting at Taylor’s concert series, the Eras Tour, held at Wembley Stadium in London.

At the seventh stop of my journey to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, specifically in the grandeur of London’s Wembley Stadium for the second time, I found myself stepping onto the stage not as an audience member, but as a surprise backup performer during her captivating rendition of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.

Taylor attended the initial game of the 2024-25 season with Travis and seemed to recreate a public display of affection (PDA) similar to one from October 2023 in this image posted by Chariah Gordon. The duo was present at the wedding of Karen Elson, who got married to Lee Foster, the proprietor of Electric Lady Studios, held in New York City.

The next day, the pair attended the men’s singles final match at the U.S. Open.

The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.

Over the final weekend of 2024, the couple ventured out together for two consecutive dates in New York City. They coordinated their attire on each occasion.

During the off-season of the NFL, I had the pleasure of spending some quality time with a renowned sports broadcaster, Erin Andrews, in the picturesque winter wonderland of Montana. We embraced the snowy landscape and made unforgettable memories together.

In July 2025, Travis shared the initial images of him with Taylor on Instagram, featuring a sweet snapshot from a dinner date that hinted at their screen savers on their phones, showing pictures of each other.
