Trista Sutter Addresses Rumor She’s Going to Be a Grandmother

This rumor has been a thorn in Trista Sutter‘s side.

The first-ever star of *The Bachelorette* recently debunked rumors that her son, 18-year-old Max Sutter, is going to be a father, meaning she won’t be a grandmother just yet. She called the reports ‘fake news’.

Trista addressed a confusing situation in an Instagram video on October 8th. She explained that someone had been using family photos – including pictures of her son Max and his ex-girlfriend – to create misleading online articles designed to get clicks. She mentioned she only found out about it the night before.

“My first reaction? Laughter,” she said of the pregnancy rumors. “My second reaction? Anger. The biggest reason for that is that it’s a lie. The second is because they’re using photos of our children without permission.”

The 52-year-old, who is also a mother to 16-year-old Blakesley, shared her worries about her children, Max and Blakesley, facing consequences due to their parents’ public lives.

I can handle criticism myself, it’s part of the job,” she explained. “But when it comes to my children, that’s different. I won’t tolerate anything that could harm their future or their current lives.

The author of *Happily Ever After* shared that she would be delighted to have grandchildren someday, but isn’t quite ready for them right now.

I’m thrilled about the possibility of becoming a grandmother and will definitely be there for my children, but I’m hoping it happens a bit later on,” she said.

Ultimately, though, Trista warned fans against reading into everything they see online.

I’m really excited about becoming a grandmother and will definitely be there for my children, but I’m hoping it happens a bit later on,” she said.

Ultimately, though, Trista warned fans against reading into everything they see online.

She expressed her frustration with people spreading false information online, particularly on social media, to gain something for themselves. She wanted to directly address her followers and urge them to be critical of what they read, reminding them that not everything online is true, especially information found on pages like ‘A Bachelor News.’ She advised people to be cautious and think before believing everything they see.

Trista and Ryan have been together for an impressive 22 years! Here’s an update on how other couples from The Bachelor franchise are faring…

Status: Engaged

Spencer Conley, who made a good impression on Jenn Tran with his friendly personality on *The Bachelorette*, found a connection on season 10 of *Bachelor in Paradise*. In August 2025, he shared a post with Jess Edwards (who previously tried to win over Joey Graziadei on *The Bachelor*) hinting they were falling for each other – a way of saying they weren’t quite ready to say “I love you” yet. He jokingly declared on Instagram that he’d “already won.”

Jess echoed the sentiment, posting online that she was feeling happy about Spencer. The couple chose their relationship over a $250,000 prize, then were surprised with a $190,000 check before getting engaged. Jess shared that everything they had experienced together brought them to this special moment. She will soon be moving to Dallas to be with Spencer.

Status: Dating

Bailey Taylor Brown declared on Instagram in August 2025 that her date with Jeremy Simon was the best first date she’d ever had, after taking him out during the tenth season of *Paradise*. But could it also be their last? Bailey, who originally competed for Grant Ellis’s affection, and Jeremy, who almost won the heart of *The Bachelorette*’s Jenn, managed to overcome a major disagreement when Bailey found out Jeremy had hesitated about sending Susie Evans home.

Despite the drama, their connection grew stronger in Costa Rica. Though they didn’t make it to the end of *Bachelor in Paradise*, they continued dating after the show. In fact, the show revealed they’ve already met each other’s families and are planning to live in the same city.

Status: Dating

It looks like things are still going strong between *Paradise* season 10 contestants Andrew Spencer (who competed for Katie Thurston’s heart) and Alexe Godin (from Grant’s season). Just six days after Andrew called Alexe “my love” on Instagram in August 2025, she responded by calling him “my darling” in a post of her own.

Although they chose love instead of the $250,000 prize on the *BiP* finale, they still each received $125,000.

Oh my gosh, I can’t even! When Alexe said that – about leaving with money, but it being about *love* above all else – I nearly lost it! It was just… everything! And then, the reveal?! They’re actually moving to Chicago together, Alexe and Andrew! Chicago! I’m so happy for them, seriously. It’s like a dream come true, watching their love story unfold. I’m already planning a welcome party!

Status: Dating

Kat and Dale faced a difficult situation during the *Bachelor in Paradise* finale when Sean McLaughlin claimed Kat had been secretly communicating with an ex-boyfriend through letters and a laptop. Kat, however, denied contacting him while on the show. She explained that she and her ex still had a connection before coming on the show, as she didn’t expect to find someone new.

Although Kat and Dale didn’t make it to the final rose ceremony, their relationship continued to grow. After the show, they traveled around the U.S. together and started making plans for the future, including potentially moving closer to each other. Kat was originally on Zach Shallcross’ season, and Dale was a contestant on Clare Crawley’s season.

Dale wrote under Kat’s August 2025 Instagram post that things were difficult at times, but they got through it together, and he wouldn’t trade their experiences for anything.

Status: Just friends—for now

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the drama, and it’s been quite a rollercoaster! Remember Gary Levingston from *The Golden Bachelorette* and Leslie Fhima, who was a fan favorite on *The Golden Bachelor*? They seemed so promising after leaving *Bachelor in Paradise* – they even posted about starting a new chapter together! But now, it sounds like Leslie isn’t so sure about taking things to the next level with Gary. It’s a surprising twist, especially considering how well they seemed to be connecting!

She shared that she and Gary talk constantly. Appearing on Bachelor Happy Hour in August 2025, she described him as one of her closest friends, someone she turns to when she needs advice or support. They’re always there for each other and have a strong, supportive relationship.

Even though they live almost 2,000 miles apart – she’s in Minnesota and he’s in California – she’s still optimistic. She explained that, for her, the most important part of any relationship, especially a romantic one, is building a strong friendship first. She wants to be with someone who is also her best friend as they get older.

Status: Just friends

Kim Buike, a frontrunner on *Golden Bachelorette*, has found a connection with Faith Martin, who received the first impression rose from Gerry Turner. Despite being eliminated on season 10 of *Paradise*, the pair continued to date, with Faith sharing a video on Instagram in August 2025 showing Kim enjoying a date with her in Washington.

Ultimately, they decided they were better suited as friends.

“We still talk two or three times a week,” Faith revealed in a September 2025 Instagram video. “He lives five and a half hours away, but the truth is, we’re not in love. We never fell in love. We just had a strong connection on the show.”

Grant initially connected with 25 women on *The Bachelor*, but ultimately chose Juliana Pasquarosa. Unfortunately, the couple broke up less than three months after their engagement was shown on television.

Grant announced on Instagram on June 13th that he and Juliana have decided to break up. He explained that they both tried their best and cared deeply for each other, but after careful consideration, they realized they weren’t compatible in the long run.

Joan Vassos found love after appearing on *The Golden Bachelor* and then becoming the first *Golden Bachelorette*. She gave out the final rose to, and became engaged to, Chock Chapple on the show.

During the November 2024 finale of *The Golden Bachelorette*, Joan shared a message of hope, saying, “We’re proof that it’s never too late to find happiness, no matter what challenges life brings.” Just before Chock proposed in Bora Bora, she told him, “I’ve been waiting for this moment, in this beautiful place, to tell you that I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you – waking up with you and kissing you goodnight.”

During the season 21 finale of *The Bachelorette*, it seemed like Jenn Tran, who previously appeared on *The Bachelor*, had found love with her final choice, Devin Strader. However, Jenn shared during the *After the Final Rose* episode in September 2024 that Devin became distant as soon as filming ended.

Jenn explained to Jesse Palmer that he had strongly declared his love for her, but the very next day acted as if those feelings never existed. She said all the promises and affection he’d expressed were suddenly gone.

The situation escalated when Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram explaining his perspective and taking responsibility for his actions. He also revealed the details of a 15-minute phone call where he ended the relationship.

Jenn said he ended their relationship over the phone in August, but he insists she pressed him for answers while he was trying to tell her in person.

He said he hadn’t seen another option, especially since he’d wanted to tell her face-to-face. Ultimately, she made him reveal it.

Jenn then appeared on *Dancing With the Stars* and formed a close partnership with Sasha Farber. They continued dancing together even after being eliminated in October 2024, but eventually separated in 2025.

Okay, so let’s talk about Greg Grippo and Victoria Fuller. You might remember Greg from Katie Thurston’s season of *The Bachelorette*. Well, in November 2022, he and Victoria connected on *Bachelor in Paradise* and actually announced they were dating! Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be long-term. Greg shared in April 2024 that they’ve gone their separate ways.

Before Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo revealed they were dating after the eighth season finale of *Bachelor in Paradise*, Victoria had broken up with her costar, Johnny DePhillipo, ending their engagement.

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist got engaged in November 2023 at the end of the first season of *The Golden Bachelor* and were married in a televised ceremony in January 2024. They are now divorced.

However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.

In an April 2024 appearance on *Good Morning America* with Theresa, Gerry shared that they’d had many honest conversations about their relationship and life together. They’ve jointly decided to get a divorce.

They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.

In April 2025, Gerry shared on the *Bachelor Happy Hour* podcast that he’s seeing someone and things are progressing nicely.

Tennis star Joey has found love! After dating 32 women, he proposed to project manager Kelsey Anderson during the March 2024 season finale. He told Kelsey, “I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” and shared that her energy made him incredibly happy – a feeling he’d never experienced before. Joey also expressed that meeting Kelsey showed him how truly beautiful life could be, and he’s excited to build a future with her.

As a huge fan of *Bachelor in Paradise*, I was really rooting for John Henry Spurlock and Kat! They didn’t really hit it off until later in season nine, but when they did, it felt special. I remember John Henry proposing with a beautiful Neil Lane diamond – he told Kat she was everything he was looking for, and it seemed so genuine. Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be. Just after the finale, they announced they were splitting up because their careers were heading in different directions. They did say they were thankful for all the support from family, friends, and everyone in Bachelor Nation, which was nice to see, but it was still disappointing!

Eliza Isichei, who previously dated Clayton Echard, is engaged! Despite feeling anxious about finding love again after her time on *Paradise*, she happily said yes when Aaron Bryant proposed by the ocean. She was especially touched that Aaron asked her mother for her blessing, admitting she was overcome with emotion.

However, the couple later announced their split. They revealed in December 2023 that while it was a difficult situation to watch unfold, they ended their engagement with positivity and respect for each other.

Okay, so I was *so* invested in Kylee and Aven! I was really rooting for them, even though she was upset he hadn’t proposed the ‘right’ way – apparently he was ready to get down on one knee for Rachel on *The Bachelorette*! She said yes when he finally proposed on *Paradise*, even though she’d already picked out an engagement dress, because she believed in making things work and taking chances. But then… just two days after the finale aired, she announced on Instagram that it was over. Apparently, he cheated! My heart broke for her. He eventually apologized, admitting he messed up badly and hurt someone he cared about, but it was too late. I’m still reeling, honestly. It was just… devastating to find out.

Charity Lawson is thrilled with how her season of *The Bachelorette* ended! She hinted to TopMob News that things were going well, but her August 2023 finale was even better than expected. Dotun Olubeko, an integrative medicine specialist, proposed to Charity, a child and family therapist, getting down on one knee and calling their love “perfect.” He asked her to make their relationship a lasting reality.

While they’re planning a wedding for either 2025 or 2026, Charity will first be hitting the dance floor on *Dancing With the Stars*. Dotun surprised her with the news on *The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose*, saying he knew how much she loved to dance and that he was excited for her to take on this amazing opportunity.

Zach Shallcross proposed to Kaity Biggar at the end of season 27 in March 2023, despite some challenges during the Fantasy Suites. He told her, “I am so in love with you. You are my world. The love I feel for you is something I could have never imagined.” By July 2023, the couple, who are based in Texas, had taken their relationship a step further and announced they were officially living together.

Kaity and her partner got married on May 23, 2025, in a small, intimate chapel ceremony. They had originally envisioned a bigger wedding, but Kaity realized it wasn’t necessary. As she shared on the *Bachelor Happy Hour* podcast in June 2025, she wanted to focus on what truly mattered: their love and connection. She felt she was getting too caught up in minor details and wanted to keep the celebration focused on their relationship.

However, one thing especially delighted her. The aunt who encouraged her to compete for Zach’s affection discovered the chapel near Austin where they held their wedding. Kaity explained, “It was exactly what we wanted.”

Ugh, I’m still reeling! I was *so* invested in Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio. They met on *Bachelor in Paradise* and honestly, they seemed like the real deal – two people who truly understood heartbreak. Danielle, having lost her fiancé, and Michael, a single dad raising his sweet son James after his wife passed… it felt like they were building something amazing. I even thought they were going to be *the* Bachelor Nation success story when Danielle moved all the way to Ohio to be with him! But then… they broke up. A YEAR after she moved! Michael explained it on a podcast, and it was just… heartbreaking. He said they both put everything into it, and even though the love was there, they just weren’t compatible. He talked about mourning not just the relationship, but the *future* they had planned. It’s just… devastating. I really thought they were going to make it.

Brandon Jones proposed to Serene Russell on season seven of *Paradise*, declaring his love would last “until the end of time.” However, their relationship didn’t last. Just five months after getting engaged on the show, the couple announced their split in a May 2023 Instagram post. They explained that trying to make things work had been very difficult with so much public attention, and while they still cared deeply for each other, they were heartbroken and asked for privacy and kindness.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Rachel’s relationship with Tino was SO rocky! It was all going so well, and then, during their season airing in 2022, he kissed someone else! Can you believe it?! He actually admitted on *The Viall Files* that he totally messed up. He said he doesn’t even defend what he did, that it was awful to Rachel, and that he *still* feels terrible about it every single day. He’s seriously ashamed and wishes he could go back and fix it a million times over. It’s just… heartbreaking to hear him say it, honestly. I feel SO bad for Rachel!

Susie Evans and Clayton Echard’s relationship, which began on the 2022 season of *The Bachelor*, had a complicated journey. After Susie initially turned Clayton down in the finale, they briefly reconnected off-camera, but ultimately broke up six months later. Susie explained in a November 2022 blog post that while they shared happy times, she wasn’t truly thriving and felt the relationship wasn’t allowing her to be her best self. She emphasized the breakup was necessary for her well-being.

Susie began dating Justin Glaze, who is known from the Bachelor franchise, but they ended their relationship in August 2024.

Michelle, an elementary school teacher from Minnesota, accepted a proposal and a $200,000 check for a future home from Nayte Olukoya, a sales executive from Texas, after appearing on a reality show. However, the couple ultimately broke up six months after the show’s finale in December 2021, realizing they weren’t a good long-term match. Nayte later admitted on a podcast that their relationship had many challenges and that ending things without an in-person conversation was a mistake.

Michelle later found love with Jack Leius, and they announced their engagement in 2023. They were married in Minnesota in June 2025.

Fans were really rooting for Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian as a couple, picturing a happy future together. However, after meeting on season seven of *BIP*, their relationship only lasted a short time – just a few weekends. In January 2022, Maurissa and Riley announced they were breaking up in a joint statement. They explained that while they hadn’t expected this outcome, they both needed to focus on personal growth.

Status: Split

As a lifestyle expert, I remember being so excited when *Bachelor in Paradise* featured its first same-sex couple – they actually got engaged on season six! Sadly, their relationship didn’t last, and they announced their breakup on Halloween of 2019. It was a bittersweet moment for fans, but it definitely sparked a lot of conversation.

We’ve always deeply loved and cared for each other, and prioritizing our own well-being has always been important. With a lot of love and sadness, we’ve decided to separate so we can both grow as individuals. We believe this is the best path forward for both of us in the long run, and right now, it means going our separate ways, as we shared in a joint statement on Instagram.

Despite a breakup during season seven of *Bachelor in Paradise*, Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer realized they were meant to be together. The couple, who first competed for the hearts of Tayshia and Matt James respectively, initially lived in San Diego before recently buying a house in Noah’s hometown of Tulsa. Abigail announced the exciting news on Instagram in July 2023, saying they were entering their ‘Chip and Joanna Gaines era’ and looking forward to making memories in their new home. Noah proposed to Abigail in San Diego in August 2023, and they’re now starting to plan their wedding!

Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, who first connected on reality TV, surprised everyone by getting legally married in October 2022! The couple, known from *The Bachelor* and *Paradise*, decided to tie the knot at City Hall near their home in New York City about a year after getting engaged. Serena, now a host of the *Bachelor Happy Hour* podcast with Joe, shared the news with a playful message: “We are still having a wedding this September but who doesn’t want to get married twice!” Joe Amabile originally gained attention as the grocery store owner sent home early on Becca Kufrin’s season of *The Bachelor* in 2018, and Serena was a finalist on Matt James’ season.

Kenny Braasch proposed to Mari Pepin with a Neil Lane diamond ring during the 2021 finale of *Paradise*, declaring his deep love for her and saying he couldn’t imagine life without her. Mari, who first appeared on *The Bachelor* and charmed Matt, relocated from Maryland to Kenny’s hometown of Chicago to begin planning their future together. Before their November 2023 wedding – a 65-person oceanfront ceremony in Puerto Rico – the couple solidified their commitment with matching tattoos during a May 2023 trip to the Bahamas. Kenny was previously eliminated in week five of *Paradise* by Tayshia Adams.

Status: Married

Becca Kufrin, who starred on *The Bachelorette*, and Thomas Jacobs, previously a contestant on Katie Thurston’s season, found love on season seven of *Bachelor in Paradise* in 2021. They briefly split up during filming but got back together after the show ended.

In May 2022, they announced their engagement, revealing that Becca had proposed. She told TopMob News she hoped their unconventional approach would encourage others to break tradition. Thomas returned the gesture by proposing to her in October of the same year. In September 2023, they welcomed their son, Benson, with Becca sharing on Instagram that no words could express how much love they felt for him.

Just weeks after Benson’s birth, the couple had a surprise wedding ceremony on October 13th.

Status: Split

During the 2021 finale of *The Bachelorette*, Katie got engaged to Blake Moynes. They first admitted their feelings for each other on a memorable overnight date that included paintball, a relaxing soak in a cowboy tub, and a heartfelt conversation while stargazing.

Blake proposed to Katie by getting down on one knee and telling her he wanted to support her dreams and be with her always. He said she deserved everything good in life.

Just three months after getting engaged, the couple announced they were breaking up. In a joint statement, they said they cherished the time they’d spent together this year, but realized they weren’t a good long-term match and that going their separate ways was the kindest thing to do. She has since married comedian Jeff Arcuri.
