Tron: Ares is an upcoming action-adventure film about a powerful AI program named Ares. According to the official description, Ares is sent from the digital world to the real world on a risky mission, marking the first time humans come into contact with artificial intelligence beings.
When is the Disney+ release date for Tron: Ares?
Tron: Ares, starring Jared Leto, will begin streaming on Disney+ on January 7, 2026. The movie didn’t do well in theaters, earning just over $142 million worldwide on a budget estimated between $180 and $220 million.
Disney+ will also offer the newest Tron film in IMAX Enhanced, meaning viewers can see it with an expanded screen size as originally envisioned by the filmmakers.
