Tubi added a bunch of beloved Cartoon Network shows to its streaming library on March 1st, building on the popularity of Warner Bros.’ Looney Tunes. You can now watch series like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Powerpuff Girls, and Codename: Kids Next Door, with even more titles planned for the future. However, some viewers have been confused by a particular section of Tubi, which has caused concern for those eager to re-watch or discover these classic cartoons.
Fans of animated shows have noticed a “Leaving Soon” section on Tubi featuring several series. While it’s not certain when or if Cartoon Network shows will be removed, this could signal the end of the streaming service’s partnership with the network. Tubi hasn’t officially commented on whether these shows are actually leaving, or if it’s just a technical glitch. With the recent merger of Paramount and Warner Bros, it’s possible Warner Bros. will decide to stream its shows on its own platforms instead.

Is This The Beginning of The End?
If the Warner Bros Discovery and Paramount merger goes through, we can expect significant changes for both companies. A major recent development is the plan to combine HBO Max and Paramount+ into a single streaming service, likely featuring content from both studios – both classic and new. While still unconfirmed, this suggests the new company will consolidate many of its shows onto one platform.
Tubi is adding a lot more than just classic Cartoon Network shows from Warner Bros. Animation! While some shows recently became available, others like Aquaman, Beetlejuice, Cow & Chicken, Evil Con Carne, Freakazoid, Justice League Action, and Krypto the Superdog are still coming soon. It’s not yet known how long these series will stay on the free streaming service, but fans are hoping they’ll be available for a good while, regardless of when they arrive.
Given the popularity of Looney Tunes, it’s no surprise Tubi is adding more beloved animated shows. After Bugs Bunny and friends joined the streaming service, Tubi’s head of content acquisition, Samuel Harowitz, shared that Looney Tunes has been a major success, noting that classic animation is a very popular genre among Tubi viewers.
Okay, so I’m really curious to hear your thoughts on this unexpected animation idea! Let me know what you think in the comments, and then come chat about it with everyone else over at the ComicBook Forum – the discussion is already starting!
