Although Saber Interactive hasn’t officially announced when Turok: Origins will be released, it appears the game is currently planned for sometime next year. Website Mp1st noticed a sound designer at the studio updated their LinkedIn profile to include work on Turok: Origins, and listed the release window as “Forthcoming” in 2026.
The sound designer also mentioned two other games they’re working on, but didn’t say when those will be released: Radikal Fighters for PlayStation 5 and another secret project. Since Saber Interactive hasn’t officially confirmed a release date for Turok: Origins, the 2026 date seen on a LinkedIn profile should be viewed as uncertain.
Turok: Origins was first revealed in December 2024 at The Game Awards. A trailer accompanied the announcement, and the developers have stated that the main story can be played alone or with a friend in co-op mode. Players will become Turok warriors and battle a diverse range of enemies, including aliens and massive dinosaurs. To combat these threats, they’ll have access to a variety of weapons, from simple hatchets to powerful firearms like sniper rifles, plasma rifles, and shotguns.
A key part of the game involves collecting DNA from defeated enemies. Players can use this DNA to upgrade their weapons, making them powerful enough to defeat even tougher opponents.
Last December, director Jesús Iglesias discussed plans to bring back the classic franchise, promising a strong story and fun gameplay for both solo and cooperative players. He suggested fans of Saber Interactive’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 would likely enjoy the new game as well.
Players of Space Marine 2 are already familiar with the high quality and polish Saber Interactive is known for, and Turok: Origins delivers that same experience. We believe the game’s engaging story and fun single-player and co-op modes will also appeal to fans of Space Marine 2.
At Gamescom 2025, developer Iglesias discussed how Turok: Origins would run on different platforms. He stated that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are aiming for a smooth 60 frames per second, but the Xbox Series S appears unable to reach that level of performance. Currently, the PC system requirements for the game haven’t been announced.
