Two Far Cry Games, ‘Several’ Assassin’s Creed Games in Development, Ubisoft Confirms

After a major company reorganization, Ubisoft appears to be focusing more heavily on its most popular game series.

Yves Guillemot, CEO of the game publisher, recently shared future plans with Variety magazine, and fans of Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry have reason to be excited.

When asked about Vantage Studios, the team dedicated to developing content for their popular series and Rainbow Six, Guillemot mentioned that they have several games currently in development.

According to the speaker, Ubisoft is working on multiple Assassin’s Creed games, including options for both solo and online play. They hope to build on the success of the franchise, which already has over 30 million players.

We’re excited about the future of Far Cry and are currently working on two promising new games.

He also mentions Rainbow Six Mobile, which is due to launch on 23rd February, 2026.

Now that Vantage Studios is up and running, we’re seeing initial signs that our new way of working is helping our teams concentrate more effectively on their games. We expect this will lead to a more reliable schedule of future releases and more enthusiastic players.

Guillemot didn’t give a specific timeline for the release of these AC and FC games, but it seems likely they’re planning several years’ worth of titles.

We know about Assassin’s Creed Hexe, but beyond that things begin to get a bit blurry.

Over a year ago, rumors surfaced about two new Far Cry games, internally known as Blackbird and Maverick. One of these is believed to be the next main installment, Far Cry 7, and the other is a separate game focused on survival and extraction gameplay.

With a TV show also in the works, it seems the series is definitely on an upswing.
