Nintendo fans have had a great 2025 with the release of a new console and several exciting games, including Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, Metroid Prime 4, Hades 2, Kirby Air Riders, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. However, the game lineup for 2026 currently looks a bit weaker. While Nintendo is expected to announce more titles soon, it seems the new Switch 2 console will initially depend on games from other companies to keep players entertained.
A new report suggests that two popular games are being developed for the Nintendo Switch. The first is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, a highly-rated RPG from Warhorse Studios that originally came out in 2018 and recently became available on Switch after six years. The report claims the sequel won’t take nearly as long to arrive on the platform. The second game is Mafia: The Old Country from Hangar 13 and 2K. While it received a more moderate reception (scoring 74 on Metacritic), it’s also less expensive, which could make it an appealing option for those who purchase the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
The report suggests the next version of the Nintendo Switch will be released in the first six months of 2026. This information comes from Nash Weedle, a source known for Nintendo leaks. While not always accurate, Weedle has correctly predicted some things in the past year.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is an exciting action role-playing game set in 15th-century Bohemia during a time of civil war. Explore a vibrant open-world Medieval Europe, from busy city streets to dense forests, in this unforgettable adventure filled with action, excitement, and wonder.
Mafia: The Old Country
Mafia: The Old Country plunges you into the violent world of early 1900s Sicily, exploring the beginnings of the Mafia. You play as Enzo Favara, fighting for survival and trying to earn the respect of his crime family in this action-packed, story-driven adventure.
