Though we don’t see Chef-9 in this preview, remember this is still a love story, so expect to see what’s happening with the robot couple. Creator Zdarsky hoped readers would connect with the robots when the series was first announced, and it seems like they definitely have!
While the story has elements of science fiction and political suspense, at its core it’s a classic love story. I’ve really enjoyed writing the romance between Service-1 and Chef-9, and seeing that love develop with the help of Rachael and Tamra. I hope readers connect with them as much as I have!
