Two new games are coming exclusively to PS5 with release dates this fall. One will be available on the PlayStation Store in October, and the other in November. While these games aren’t made by PlayStation Studios and aren’t as major as titles like *Death Stranding 2* and *Ghost of Yotei*, they’ll still add more options for PS5 players before the end of the year.
These new PS5 games aren’t truly exclusive – they’re what’s called ‘console exclusives.’ A true exclusive means a game is only available on PlayStation 5, which is rare now. Most PS5 exclusives are also released on PC. In fact, the majority of PS5 games, even those made by PlayStation themselves, eventually come to PC.
Dispatch
I’m so excited about *Dispatch*! It’s a really fun game where you’re basically in charge of a team of quirky superheroes. You get to decide where they go to handle emergencies all over Los Angeles, and your choices actually change the story. It’s not just about saving the day though – you also have to deal with office drama, build relationships with your team, and figure out your own path as a hero. It’s a wild ride!
I’m so excited about this new game! It’s being developed by AdHoc Studio, and honestly, that’s a huge reason why I’m hyped. These are the people who brought us *The Wolf Among Us* and *Tales From the Borderlands* – seriously amazing storytellers! They’re even working on *Wolf Among Us 2* right now. The first two episodes are coming out on October 22nd for PS5, and then they’re planning to release the rest over the next three weeks, two episodes at a time. So we’ll get all eight episodes by November 12th. It’s going to be a bit of a wait between releases, but I’m totally okay with that if it means we get a really well-crafted story!
POOLS
I’m so excited! Pools, that really cool and creepy walking simulator everyone’s been talking about, is finally coming to PS5 and PlayStation VR2 on November 25th. It actually came out on PC last year, and people *loved* it – it has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, which basically means it’s one of the best games you can get there, with a 95% approval rate!
I just watched the trailer for *Pools*, and it looks really interesting! It’s not a game with a ton of action or puzzles, it seems. Instead, it’s all about wandering around and soaking up the vibe – a really atmospheric experience, honestly.
It’s still unclear how popular these games will be with PlayStation 5 players. The second game has already been well-received on Steam, and the first is a highly anticipated indie title coming out later this year. We don’t know if either game will be optimized for the upcoming PS5 Pro, and given that many games launching in September aren’t, it’s unlikely they will be.
Let us know your thoughts in the comments, or join the conversation on the ComicBook Forum! We’re especially curious: which PS5 games coming out this year are you looking forward to the most?
