In the upcoming week, two previously seen EastEnders characters return to Albert Square. First, we’ll see Oscar Branning, now portrayed by Pierre Moullier, making an appearance. Remarkably, he encounters his older sibling, Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa), in a surprising turn of events.
As Nigel Bates’s (Paul Bradley) dementia progresses, his long-absent wife Julie (Karen Henthorn, returning to the role after 27 years) comes back into the picture.
As a devoted cinephile, I find myself in a pickle when my father-in-law, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), uncovers some secret trysts I’ve been having with Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff). Oh boy, the drama that unfolds!
Meanwhile, Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) owes Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara).
Additionally, as The Queen Victoria pub is up for sale, multiple parties are likely to express interest or make an offer.
Read on for all your EastEnders spoilers for Monday 14th July – Thursday 17th July 2025.
5 EastEnders spoilers next week
1. Oscar Branning causes mayhem in Walford

Lauren receives a phone call resulting in an unexpected reunion with Oscar, and shortly afterward, she learns about his whereabouts and the reasons behind his inability to go back home.
As a devoted film enthusiast, I find myself immersed in the captivating world of EastEnders once more. Upon his return from a long journey, my beloved uncle, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), is warmly welcomed back into our family’s fold. However, our dear Oscar, having recently surfaced, is now on a quest to persuade Lauren to allow him to remain in our midst. In an attempt to tug at her heartstrings, he resorts to some subtle emotional manipulation.
Peter (Thomas Law) and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) inquire, while Lauren consents and allows Oscar to remain temporarily, provided he behaves properly.
But Oscar receives a message that reveals he may be more trouble than he’s worth.
In the locals’ eyes, he leaves a strong impact. Meanwhile, Jack delves deeper into the complex bond between Oscar and his parents, Tanya and Max.

Oscar contemplates tricking Ian by feigning a slip-up at the fish-and-chip shop and requesting payment, an action that leaves Stacey Slater giggling.
But there are consequences when the social worker witnesses the drama.
Over the course of the week, Oscar tends to create quite a ruckus. In response, Lauren consults with Jack for advice. Subsequently, Lauren proposes that Oscar try out a temporary job at her fruit and vegetable stand, emphasizing that this is an opportunity for him to make positive changes in his life.
Despite being skeptical, Oscar is persuaded by his cousin Penny Branning (played by Kitty Castledine) to give it a try, but many on the market doubt that he will persevere.
Yet, upon learning that his newborn nephew Jimmy is blind, Oscar demonstrates his ability to handle gravity-filled situations, and he becomes fully committed to his work.
Will he be accepted by the community?
2. Julie Bates returns for Nigel Bates – will they stay in Walford?

Nigel gets teary-eyed when Isabella Brown (Lexi Pearce) views a picture of him and Julie on their wedding day, while Jamie Borthwick’s character, Jay Brown, is taken aback by the truth behind Nigel’s estrangement from Julie – he kept it secret to shield her from his health issues.
As a devoted fan, I find myself stepping into the shoes of Jay. Despite Phil’s request for me to keep my hands off, an inquisitive spirit takes over. I turn to Callum and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), seeking their advice. Inspired by our conversation, I decide to delve deeper, exploring the digital world in search of Julie.
In simpler terms, Jay discovers Julie searching desperately for Nigel. However, once Phil prevents Jay from informing Nigel directly, Jay decides to contact Julie instead. Not long after, Julie shows up, inquiring about the whereabouts or condition of Nigel.
Jay shares details about Nigel’s health status with her, but later on, Nigel is unable to recognize her due to being overwhelmed. This situation leads to a heated disagreement between Phil and Julie, causing Nigel to become upset.

When Phil shares with Julie the video that Nigel produced explaining his decision to part ways with her, Julie ultimately declares her intention to return Nigel to Scotland.
Phil is not happy with this plan, and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) tries to support him.
While Jay shares information about the current relationship between Nigel and Phil with Julie, she uncovers additional details about their recent history.
But when another row breaks out between Phil and Julie, Nigel begs them to stop and rushes out.
Will Nigel leave with Julie?

3. Phil Mitchell uncovers Callum Highway’s affair with Johnny Carter

Callum is jealous to find out that Johnny had a one-night stand after he ended things between them.
As a devoted cinephile, I found myself drawn into their tumultuous tale, where the characters seemed destined to rekindle their relationship. Yet, the cruel twist unfolded when the least desirable individual discovered Callum’s infidelity, leaving me on the edge of my seat with anticipation and dismay.
While Linda is inviting Phil up to The Vic for a conversation, Phil unexpectedly sees Callum and Johnny together, which causes him to become extremely upset. In reaction, he quickly moves towards Johnny and holds onto him tightly.

In the scene, it’s Callum, Jay, and Billy Mitchell (played by Perry Fenwick) who need to calm down Phil before he becomes aggressive. Later on, Callum pleads with Phil to keep quiet about his affair, avoiding telling Lexi and Ben Mitchell (performed by Max Bowden).
Trying to talk sense into Phil once more only escalates things, leading to a heated dispute that further splits the family apart.
Is it only a matter of time before Callum’s marriage to Ben is over?
4. Harry Mitchell is under pressure from Ravi Gulati

Ravi supplies Harry with drugs to sell, reminding him of his debt.
Following a challenging day, Harry argues with his father, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian), and chooses to leave home instead.
In this situation, it is Kojo Asare, also known as Dayo Koleosho, who steps in to help Harry by providing him a place to stay. However, Kojo’s sibling, George Knight, played by Colin Salmon, expresses concern over this plan.

Throughout the progression of the week, Ravi pops by Harry’s place at The Arches to gather funds and strategize about the upcoming questionable task.
When Ravi proposes the idea of deceiving Kojo and utilizing his apartment whenever necessary, Harry experiences a sense of unease.
Will Harry find a way out of this mess?
5. The locals compete to bid for The Queen Vic at auction

Linda tells Kat that she’s going to sell The Vic at an auction.
Soon afterward, Ian communicates to Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) and her companion, Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman), that it is now the right moment for them to restore the Beale business empire. The initial step in this endeavor will be placing a bid on the pub!
While Ian dominates both Kat and Stacey, Gillian Wright’s character, Jean Slater, worries that she might lose her cleaning job at The Vic if the Beales assume control. Consequently, Kat and Stacey devise a strategy.

When Stacey announces that she’s won £100,000 on a lottery ticket and promises to bid for the local pub as well, Ian becomes extremely angry.
When Stacey spots a man outside and assumes he’s a bailiff, causing her apprehension, but later discovers he’s an insurance representative instead, what transpires subsequently?
Who will win the deeds to The Vic?
Rumours may have already confirmed who takes charge.
