Ultraman Arc The Movie represents the next chapter in the Ultra saga, while Belial is marking his 15th anniversary since the release of Ultraman Zero THE MOVIE Super Decisive Battle! Belial Galactic Empire, known as The Revenge of Belial in the Western world.
Visitors to the Ultra Heroes Expo New Generation World can snap photos with various Ultra Heroes throughout the event, with a different lineup each day, but Ultraman Arc will be present every day. The expo will showcase displays centered around the latest television series in the Ultra Series, “Ultraman New Generation Stars,” and “Ultraman Arc The Movie.” These displays will highlight monsters and significant items from both the series and movie. To mark Ultraman Zero’s anniversary, Ultraman Belial will be given a special focus at the expo. Additionally, all attendees will receive a promotional Ultraman Zero card, and general ticket sales will start on February 22nd via Lawson Ticket and Asoview platforms.
History of Ultraman Zero and the Rest of the Franchise
For the first time, characters Ultraman Zero and Ultraman Belial made their debut in the movie “Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legend,” released on December 12th, 2009. The ultimate form of Ultraman Zero was revealed in the sequel film, “Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial,” which hit theaters on December 23rd, 2010. These two sworn enemies are among the most beloved characters in the Ultraman series, with recurring roles in subsequent Ultra Series and films. The movie “Ultraman Arc The Movie: The Clash of Light and Evil” is a continuation of the television series “Ultraman Arc,” which wrapped up on January 18th, 2025.
Since the debut of the initial series installment, “Ultra Q,” in 1966, Tsuburaya Productions has maintained control over the franchise. Other production companies and studios have collaborated on specific episodes within the series, with notable examples being “Shin Ultraman” and “Ultraman Rising.” Notably, “Shin Ultraman” was jointly produced and helmed by Hideaki Anno and his studio, Studio Khara. On the other hand, “Ultraman Rising” is a 3D animated film that premiered on Netflix in 2024.
