Umamusume: Pretty Derby Reveals New 3-Star Racers & Support Cards

Ever since Umamusume: Pretty Derby debuted on Steam, it’s been drawing in a fresh wave of gamers.

Constructing your optimal Umamusume racing squad requires patience, which only adds to the enjoyment of the game. Before a racer becomes eligible to join your team and participate in Daily Races and other competitions, they must undergo training in Career Mode. This aspect of the game is incredibly engaging for me as I get to understand each Umamusume’s unique personality and aspirations. However, to keep things exciting and strive for perfection, you might need to acquire new racers periodically. Fortunately, the upcoming update in Umamusume: Pretty Derby will introduce fresh racers for players to Scout.

On July 16 (UTC), new characters are set to make their debut:

– Tokai Teio (3-star) and Mejiro McQueen (3-star) will join Pretty Derby Scout.
– In the Support Card Scout, you’ll find SSR Kitasan Black and SSR Satono Diamond.

On July 16th, we’re shining the spotlight on fresh 3-Star editions of Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen. They will take over from the current highlighted character, Baya Hiyahide, in Scout. The developers are eager to showcase the strengths and promise of these newcomers to entice gamers to invest their Carats!

New Umamusume Trainees & Support Cards

In the Featured Trainees section of the Scout screen, you’ll find both [Beyond the Horizon] Tokai Teio and [End of the Skies] Mejiro McQueen today, July 16th. For now, you can get a sneak peek at their preview details via the @Umamusume_Eng account on X, but once they’re added in-game, you’ll be able to see all their details.

3-Star Tokai Teio Stats & Attributes

In my book, Tokai was the very first apprentice I had, and that makes her particularly dear to me. Her freshly upgraded 3-star version now sports a vibrant new outfit and an array of novel abilities and prospective talents. If you’re fortunate enough to recruit her (as per X’s information), here are some exciting features you can anticipate!

It’s clear that this horse excels in medium-distance races on turf tracks, so consider backing the Pace Chaser betting style for her events. Her promising abilities should contribute significantly to her success.

3-Star Mejiro McQueen Stats & Attributes

So far, I haven’t had the chance to work with Mejiro McQueen in her trainee role; instead, I’ve only interacted with her as a Support. This makes me even more eager to witness her transformation into a featured Umamusume for the upcoming roster update! Here’s a sneak peek at her 3-star stats if you happen to Scout her:

1. Attack: X (Strength)
2. Speed: Y (Agility)
3. Stamina: Z (Endurance)
4. Defense: W (Durability)
5. Luck: V (Fortune)

McQueen seems to have a broader range of abilities in terms of long-distance capabilities compared to Teio. She performs exceptionally well on Medium and Long courses and also has the skill of maintaining pace. Not to mention, her latest outfit is stunning.

New Support Cards

Today, not only do we welcome our two prospective trainees, but also two fresh SSR Support Cards will be introduced in today’s update of Umamusume: Pretty Derby. These newcomers are Kitasan Black with the skill Fire at My Heels and Satono Diamond boasting The Will to Overtake. Beginning July 16th, they will appear as Featured Cards.
