Whispers of conspiracy have surrounded the Fort Knox gold reserves for years, with the last audit taking place back in 1974. Senator Rand Paul, however, is determined to bring this issue to light, inviting Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to investigate.
Paul’s request for an audit has sparked a wave of enthusiasm in the crypto community, with many Bitcoin advocates, including Senator Cynthia Lummis, declaring, “Bitcoin fixes this!”
Audit anytime, anywhere: Bitcoin’s got transparency 🕵️♀️🔍
Lummis took to Twitter to promote the idea of a state Bitcoin reserve in the US, stating, “Bitcoin fixes this. A Bitcoin reserve could be audited any time, 24/7, with a basic computer.”
Bitcoin’s blockchain allows anyone to verify ownership, supply, and transactions without the need for intermediaries. In contrast, gold requires external audits, leaving room for manipulation and error.
No fakes allowed: Bitcoin’s authenticity shines 🌟💸
Despite its historical significance, gold has faced issues with counterfeiting, with concerns about fake gold bars emerging in recent years.
Bitcoin, however, is immune to such issues, as it cannot be faked or diluted. The total supply of Bitcoin is capped at 21 million, with each satoshi being traceable on the blockchain.
Max Keiser, a Bitcoin advocate, once wrote, “To own some [Bitcoin] is to declare freedom from tyranny and governments while declaring sovereignty-of-self.”
