Romancing characters can sometimes be a multi-step procedure where the outcome might not yield any success at all.
Should you choose to pursue a romantic relationship with a certain character, you’ll earn the “Well-Spent Time” buff, which grants a +1 increase to your Strength, Agility, and Vitality, making them more potent in gameplay.
Instead of dividing the guide into two, let’s explore both long-term and short-term relationships found within the game, arranged based on their occurrence timeline.
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there’s an opportunity for romantic interactions with various characters, both male and female, scattered throughout vast landscapes. As we discover more potential love interests, we’ll make sure to update this guide accordingly.
Before proceeding, please remember that significant plot revelations may lie ahead, so tread carefully if you don’t wish to know the outcome. Also, let’s not forget about Theresa of Skalitz, who is left behind and waiting for your return.
Longer term romances
In the upcoming game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, there will be no less than four characters that you can develop romantic relationships with, which we’ll delve into individually.
Klara

During the quest Back in the Saddle, Henry and Hans Capon are sent to Nebakov fortress.
Upon your arrival, you’ll find yourself facing off against a man named Michael to uphold the honor of Hans. Following the duel, take the opportunity to converse with Klara, who has the ability to mend your injuries.
In our chat, she’ll inquire about my adventures. I’ll share tales of my knightly responsibilities. When she requests assistance in gathering herbs for potions, I might choose the dialogue that goes, “I can hardly refuse a charming lady like you.
After gathering the herbs, follow Klara into a clearing in the woods later. It’s there that she will challenge you with a puzzle. When she presents the riddle to you, choose “You believe her name is Klara.
After this, a cutscene will ensue.
Later on during the quest The Finger of God, Henry et al will be besieged within Nebakov Fortress.
As a sympathizer like me, Klara is yearning to mend the wounds of the imprisoned, but the guards are hindering her, insisting she attends to their own injured comrades first. I’d encourage you to lend a hand to Mark and Zwerk, who can be found at the lower part of the battlements; they’re in need of your healing touch.
To heal Mark, follow these steps:
- Clean his wounds with Schnapps
- Bandage him up
- Give him a painkiller potion
To heal Zwerk, follow these steps:
- Clean his wounds with Schnapps
- Stitch his wounds up
- Bandage his wounds
- Rub chamomile brew on his ankle
- Give him some wine
As a gamer, I’d say it like this: “Alright Klara, I’ve wrapped things up here. Are you done with your tasks too? If so, there’s someone I care about that I’d rather chat with now. I could either take a walk or grab a drink before we catch up.
After completing all your daily duties, you’re welcome to retire to Klara’s cabin where she’ll be joining you later.
Rosa Ruthard

Initially encountered at the palace of Lord Ruthard, Rosa is introduced as his daughter when players make their attempt to forge an alliance.
It would be advantageous for you to acknowledge Rosa’s intelligence, as doing so will enhance your standing with her, and this recognition should not be tied to her gender.
In other words, Rosa has discovered a means for gaining access to Malesov Castle that the character must secretly enter.
Incidentally, Rosa requests that you look for a book in Otto von Bergow’s wife’s room. The room is located just one floor above the current level.
Following your adventure, be sure to read the book first before re-engaging with Rosa, as they may test you about it later.
To enhance your standing with Rosa, it would be beneficial to achieve a high academic reputation, as this might lead you to conclude that she is the writer of the book.
In due course, Rosa plans to seek your assistance in wrapping up her book. For maximum impact on your esteemed standing, propose that the narrative revolves around a female character, with her motivations being honorable and virtuous.
Finally, Rosa will ask you to pose for a drawing.
As the story progresses, several characters find themselves at Robarsch. Following an assault by Bergow’s troops, Henry and Rosa are compelled to secretly return to Ruthard Palace.
To get across this area, we’ll travel through subterranean tunnels where there will be a large pool of water. Since Rosa can’t manage on her own, you should pick her up and walk straight through immediately.
In due course, you’ll return to Ruthard Palace, having dealt with the intruders who’ve taken up residence there. You’ll find yourself in Rosa’s private chamber afterwards.
Comfort Rosa by selecting the following options:
- “It will be alright.”
- “Allies are our most valuable asset” – when Rosa asks about saving her father over the silver
- “Maybe it won’t be necessary” – when Rosa says the two of them will have to part ways
Ultimately, you’ll encounter a time-bound selection where choosing “Kiss Rosa” will lead to a subsequent scene playing out.
Katherine

Following the revelation of their genuine identity, Katherine now presents various choices during conversation that you’ll find it worthwhile to pick.
In essence, Katherine prefers modesty over bluster and advises against taking unneeded chances. If you notice her expressing concern for the team or a particular circumstance, it’s best not to trivialize these feelings and instead opt for reassuring phrases like “Things will work out”.
They don’t mind Henry flirting with them though, assuming you pass skill checks.
As a traveler enamored with the Kuttenberg Region, you’ll find yourself immersed in lively conversations at Suchdol Fortress. However, after your journey, you might be a bit grubby, so don’t forget to pay a visit to the nearby baths for a refreshing cleanse before engaging in these captivating exchanges.
Upon my return, I’ll opt for the chat choice that tickles a laugh out of Katherine, ensuring it doesn’t cross any uncomfortable lines.
After this, Katherine will travel ahead to Kuttenberg and work in a tavern undercover.
Throughout her tenure, a secondary mission titled “The Fifth Commandment” will present itself. A colleague of hers met an untimely demise, and she’s uncertain whether this tragedy was triggered by someone uncovering the secret of Katherine’s true identity.
Reach the end of the path and you’ll encounter Mandelina and her servant there.
As a dedicated gamer, I’d find myself in a bind if I were Katherine: Mandelina’s actions have left me in a tough spot, and I’d be wishing for her immediate demise. If I want to keep things smooth with Katherine, it seems wiser to take care of this matter swiftly, right here and now, rather than letting it drag on to a lengthy trial.
Later on, Katherine will disguise herself within Sigismund’s army’s encampment, where she’s assigned another mission for Henry, code-named “The Stalker.” A Cuman residing in the camp has been tracking her and even pilfered one of her shoes. Katherine requests your help in identifying this mysterious individual.
There are a few ways to figure out who it is.
If you happen to come across Mutt in Troskowitz, here’s an unusual way to locate it: Take Katherine’s spare shoe and use its scent trail to trace the path leading to a tent, where you should be able to find Mutt hiding.
If you’re looking for the lost shoe, there’s an individual named Chakan, a Cuman, who often stands by a cart near the baths in the daytime. You could track him back to his tent where you might just find your missing shoe.
It’s advisable to handle this matter calmly to avoid attracting unnecessary notice. Make sure to alert Chakan and update Katherine about the source of our information.
As the game nears its conclusion, participants will be trapped within Suchdol Fortress for more than a month. Katherine is deeply concerned about the predicament and fears that the men in their party might unwittingly lead to their demise.
Again, understand Katherine’s point of view and select dialogue options that express concern too.
Ultimately, Henry needs to secretly depart from Suchdol, and prior to your departure, Katherine will rendezvous with you on the fortification walls.
If you have a good reputation with Katherine, an intimate cutscene will play.
Hans Capon

In simpler terms, their strong friendship between Henry and Hans could develop into a romantic relationship, which might happen if you continue being a devoted friend to him.
On some occasions, you’ll notice dialogue choices with a heart symbol. Choose these if your intention is to pursue a romantic relationship with Hans.
Before leaving the Suchdol fortress, you have the chance to chat with Hans. He’ll regale you with a tale about two brave knights.
Remark that the two knights sound like Henry and Hans and you will get the option to kiss him.
Margaret

In a barn to the southwest of Bylany, located within the Kuttenberg district, there’s a distressing sound of a woman calling out for aid, as she’s trapped within a confined space.
If you assist her, she might flee before the miller comes back accompanied by a guard, since Margaret was taking things that didn’t belong to him.
You can either pay the fine or talk your way out of it.
Later on, you will spot her asking for alms at the intersection-standing inn located where Miskowitz, Pschitoky, and Kuttenberg roads meet.
At that location, she’ll explain to you the reasons behind her stealing from the miller. It would be beneficial for you to hear her out and avoid hostile reactions instead.
Margaret plans to confess that she took the funds, intending to help her former coworker Anezkha. Anezkha was employed at the mill, but disappeared after the miller impregnated her and forced her out of the premises.
As I searched for Anezkha, she shared her harrowing tale: bandits ambushed her, snatching her coins and brutally assaulting her, leaving her penniless. A kindly herbalist offered refuge, mended her wounds, and whispered a chilling secret – a man named Latsek supposedly poisoned his wife to wed a younger woman for her dowry. With this knowledge in my arsenal, I’m planning to use it against Latsek, forcing him to pay a hefty ransom to keep the secret under wraps.
If you hand over the money immediately, it’ll likely end your chances of courting them, as Margaret might choose to depart.
To ensure the plan succeeds, please acquire a noblewoman’s gown for Margaret and make sure to wear your most charming attire. Additionally, locate a sleeping potion for the task at hand.
After making all necessary arrangements, find Margaret in Kuttenberg, then proceed to the tavern where Latsek is currently drinking. Let’s have a chat with them there.
When Latsek gets up to use the toilet, pour the sleeping potion into his drink.
Despite the plans not working out as expected, it’ll be necessary for you to accompany Latsek home, bringing Margaret along, and resorting to extortion to compel him.
Ultimately, Margaret will express her gratitude towards you and propose a kiss. Should you agree, you’ll receive the Time Well Spent Buff but will lose 250 Groschen from your purse, as Margaret plans to take some of your money.
Short-term romances
Throughout the game, you might experience several unique romantic moments. Let’s delve into each one now.
During gameplay, there are various special romantic instances that could occur. We’ll explore these individually next.
Bathhouse maids

On both maps, you’ll find bathhouses where you can take a visit. These facilities offer laundry service for your garments, healing for any wounds, and you may also opt for personal services from the attendants, which are more private in nature.
This will replenish your health, nourishment and tiredness.
Doubravka

As I receive the coveted invitation to either Miller Krezyl or Radovan Tachov’s wedding at Semine, the thrilling quest known as “Wedding Crashers” begins for me. Throughout this adventure, I encounter an elderly lady named Doubravka’s Mother who requests my assistance in dancing with her daughter, Doubravka.
Approach Doubravka and ask her for a dance. Doubravka will be hesitant but you can select either:
- “Don’t worry about the people.”
- “You’re not going to just sit in the corner!“
Doubravka is not a very good dancer and you will take damage as she steps on your toes.
Later on, spread false praises about her dancing abilities and social graces, then engage with her once more, and she will likely show interest in you, which you can return.
Or,
Afterward, exaggerate how well she dances and how sociable she is, then chat with her again, and she’ll probably take an interest in you that you can match.
Widow Johanka of Zhernov

In the pursuit of triumph, an event unfolds in which several attendees participate, among them being Widow Johanka of Zhernov, who encourages you for a friendly conversation.
Johanka wants to know about your story and you need to select the following options:
- “I’ll be glad to tell you what happened.” (Medium scholarship difficulty)
- Either “It was a lovely day for bathing.”, “Lord Hanush entrusted us with delivering a message.” or “Margrave Jobst wants to end the war.”
- “They almost killed us. (Humorously)”
- “The Bailiff was right to punish us.”
Here’s what I’d like to share, speaking from the perspective of a fan: “Next, Johanka will request that you address her friend who’s waiting outside, but don’t be fooled – this is actually a ruse to evade the Scribe and Father Nicodemus. Her true intention is to engage in a private conversation with you.
Select the dialogue option “I think I can convince you” with the love heart next to it.
You’ll want to finish any tasks beforehand as this period will pass until morning during the feast.
Black Bartoush

Meanwhile, as they shout “For Victory!“, Black Bartoush stands casually against a wall behind the table. In response to Henry’s comment about the attractive women, Black Bartoush makes it clear that he doesn’t seem to be particularly drawn to them.
In reply, you could say, “It sounds like I’ve got a good idea of your thoughts.” And for setting a romantic mood, consider asking, “How about we spend the rest of the evening together?
Lousy Mary

In the bathhouses of Kuttenberg, you’ll encounter an individual known as Lousy Mary, during your mission titled “Journey to the Underworld“, where you’re on the trail of Goatskin, a rumored spy working for a wealthy noble.
To discuss locating goatskin with them, they might extend an invitation for a beverage first, followed by an offer for further conversation about more personal matters.
