“Unprecedented” Caroline Flack documentary fronted by her mum Christine confirms release date

Disney+ announced that the two-part documentary, Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth, will be released soon.

I’m so excited to hear that the original documentary, and it’s amazing that it’s being led by the late presenter’s mom, will be released on November 10th! Even better, both episodes are dropping on the same day – I can’t wait to watch them all at once.

Caroline Flack, the popular host of the reality show Love Island, tragically died by suicide in 2020. This happened shortly after she left her role on the show and just weeks before she was scheduled to go to court to answer assault charges, which she denied.

The woman who died hadn’t asked for the case to move forward, and her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, also didn’t want it prosecuted. After her death, many people criticized how the media covered her leaving the show Love Island and the legal problems she was facing.

This compelling two-part story centers on Caroline’s mother, Christine, as she seeks to understand what happened to her daughter in the months leading up to her death. Her investigation reveals previously unknown information, raises tough questions, and exposes how the actions – and failures – of various organizations and people contributed to Caroline’s final days.

This series features exclusive interviews with Caroline Flack’s closest friends and people who witnessed events firsthand, finally telling her side of the story and revealing the truth about what happened to her.

Dov Freedman, Charlie Russell, and Jessie Versluys are executive producers of the documentary. They work for Curious Films, the company that previously made the 2021 documentary about Caroline Flack, titled ‘Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death’.

Disney+ revealed plans for a documentary earlier this year. Christine shared that she’s driven to understand the last few months of Caroline’s life, even though it will be difficult, and admits she still has many unanswered questions.
