Saber Interactive recently unveiled a new action game during the State of Play event. The game, currently called “Untitled John Wick Game,” is based on the popular John Wick movies. You can watch the trailer below.
The trailer primarily sets the atmosphere for this John Wick game, showcasing the main character facing off against different enemies and preparing for combat. Towards the end, it offers a quick glimpse of gameplay, demonstrating how players can eliminate opponents using both close-quarters combat – including grappling and counters – and gunplay, at various distances.
Back in January, Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate, announced that a high-quality John Wick video game was being created. During a company earnings discussion, he mentioned this game, as well as other potential games based on John Wick and Saw, with more announcements expected soon.
Besides the 2019 game John Wick Hex, the John Wick movies haven’t had many video game adaptations. Unfortunately, John Wick Hex is no longer available to purchase. The character John Wick has shown up as a playable character in a couple of other games, including Fortnite and Payday 2.
The latest John Wick game doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet. But, its appearance at the State of Play event suggests it will be available on PS5, and possibly other consoles too.
