The first issue of Marvel’s Predator: Bloodshed features a high-stakes martial arts tournament in the near future. A mysterious group is running the event, but things take a deadly turn when a Predator unexpectedly joins the competition.
The tournament isn’t just for the championship anymore – now, the competitors are fighting for their survival! A diverse group of fighters must learn to work together if they want to survive an alien hunter. Pick your favorite, make your predictions, and get ready for a brutal competition like you’ve never seen before!
Predator: Bloodshed is the newest installment in a series of Predator comics that started in 2022. These comics have generally followed two main storylines. The first, beginning with Predator: Day of the Hunter by Ed Brisson and Kev Walker, centers around Theta, a woman whose life was impacted by the Predators. She dedicates herself to making the Yautja—the Predators themselves—the hunted, and this story continues across several limited series also written by Brisson.
A new chapter in the Marvel Comics Predator storyline started in 2023 with Predator vs. Wolverine. This comic, and subsequent titles like Predator vs. Black Panther and Predator vs. Spider-Man, all written by Benjamin Percy, tell the story of the Yautja’s large-scale war against Marvel’s heroes. This conflict recently reached its conclusion.
Author Benjamin Percy has hinted at a larger story unfolding across all four series, explaining that the narratives have been carefully leading to a massive, action-packed, and violent five-part conclusion where all the connections will be revealed.
Okay, so Percy just dropped some major bombs! Forget thinking that title is meant to throw us off – he’s saying things are about to get really, really bad. He straight-up said our favorite heroes and villains are going to fall, while new players step up. Apparently, the Predator King has arrived, and the Yautja are packing vibranium weapons! It’s like Earth has become one giant hunting ground for them, and honestly, I’m terrified but also super hyped to see how this all plays out.
In addition to its main Predator storylines, Marvel Comics has released several other Predator titles recently. They’re expanding the universe beyond the core sagas, and in 2025, will launch a new series dedicated to the franchise. As a preview to the new movie, Marvel also published a one-time issue called Predator: Badlands in November 2025, written by Ethan Sacks and illustrated by Elvin Ching.
Predator: Bloodshed #1 goes on sale February 25 from Marvel Comics.
