Massively multiplayer online role-playing games, or MMORPGs, are popular because they let you explore engaging worlds and connect with other players. A big part of many MMORPGs are raids – challenging, team-based adventures that offer great rewards. However, these raids can be difficult to organize, requiring players to coordinate schedules and find a well-rounded group. If you enjoy the excitement of raids but dislike the coordination needed, this new action roguelite game might be perfect for you.
The upcoming indie game Don’t Lose Aggro takes inspiration from the challenging raids found in classic MMOs, but with a twist – it’s designed for a single player. This eliminates the usual difficulties of coordinating with a team. You’ll build and customize a powerful Tank character and then lead a group of NPC companions through tough dungeons. Don’t Lose Aggro will be available on Steam Early Access starting April 15th.
Don’t Lose Aggro Lets You Tank Your Way Through Solo Raids

Developed by solo creator Oren Koren, a veteran MMORPG tank player, Don’t Lose Aggro offers the thrill of raiding without the need for a team. Koren created the game after finding it difficult to commit to the time demands of traditional MMOs. It’s designed for solo players who want the experience of being a powerful tank, supported by AI companions who handle other roles, letting you focus on taking damage and protecting your party.
This game lets you customize your character in many ways, letting you focus on dealing a lot of damage, protecting your team from attacks, or a mix of both. As you play, you’ll earn points to improve your build and try out different styles, like dodging, blocking, staying at a distance, or drawing enemy fire. You can also choose companions to join you, each with a specific role – like healing, ranged attacks, magic, stealth, or summoning creatures. Just like your main character, these companions can be upgraded with new abilities to help you overcome challenges in dungeons. You can see the game in action in the release date trailer, titled Don’t Lose Aggro, linked below.
Get ready to experience a single-player MMO raid! Don’t Lose Aggro enters Early Access on Steam April 15th. The game will cost $10 at launch, but you can get a 20% discount when it first releases. In Early Access, you’ll be able to play through Dungeon Crawl, Wave Defense, and Boss Rush modes, offering a range of challenges. You can also upgrade your character and unlock new items in the City Hub. Expect around 10 hours of gameplay at the start.
As with all games in Early Access, Don’t Lose Aggro will evolve based on what players think. The developer plans to add more content, fix bugs, and make improvements over the next year, leading up to the official release. You can try a free demo on Steam now to see if you enjoy the game before purchasing the $10 Early Access version.
