Update on New Batman: Arkham Game May Be Good News for Assassin’s Creed Fans

There’s positive news for fans of the *Batman: Arkham* series, especially after the disappointing reception of *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League*. Reports suggest that Rocksteady Studios, the team behind *Arkham*, is returning to its strengths and focusing on what players expect: a new game starring Batman.

Reports surfaced earlier this year that Rocksteady Studios was developing a new *Batman: Arkham* game, though it was likely years away from release. It makes sense, then, that they are still hiring experienced staff. Recently, they brought on Bill Money, a developer whose work you’ve probably enjoyed, even if you don’t know the name.

Assassin’s Creed Veteran

Bill Money has been working in the industry since the 1990s, making him a highly experienced professional – something that’s valuable in a field known for losing its senior talent. This is a significant win for Rocksteady Studios, especially after they’ve lost key leaders and staff members recently, as his expertise will be a huge asset.

Jonathan Money is the new Game Director, bringing experience from previously leading game development on *Assassin’s Creed Mirage* and *Assassin’s Creed Valhalla*. He also served as Lead Game Designer on *Assassin’s Creed: Origins*. Earlier in his career, he was a Producer on the classic games *Deus Ex* (2002) and *Deus Ex: The Invisible War* (2003).

It’s unrealistic to expect the next Batman: Arkham game to play exactly like Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Valhalla, or Origins. It will still be an Arkham game, but the team behind those Assassin’s Creed titles will bring their experience to this project. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if the new Batman game included some elements and ideas inspired by Assassin’s Creed.

We’d love to hear your thoughts! Please leave a comment below or join the discussion on the ComicBook Forum. What features or stories would you like to see in the next *Batman: Arkham* game?
