Just got the news that Vambrace: Dungeon Monarch is finally out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S! Headup published it, and Dvora Studio developed it – I’ve been waiting for this one, a deckbuilding dungeon defense game sounds awesome.
Vambrace: Dungeon Monarch was initially available on Steam as an Early Access game on January 21st, before its official release on May 8th.
Here is an overview of the game, via Headup:
About
Become a Dungeon Monarch, a powerful protector of your master’s dungeon! You’ll use strong magic and command an endless army of creatures that work well together to defend against invaders – brave adventurers, jealous competitors, and even powerful gods – who want to destroy everything you’ve built.
Deadly Deckbuilding Tactics
Vambrace: Dungeon Monarch blends deckbuilding, tactical combat, auto-battles, and dungeon defense into a quick and engaging experience!
Play cards to cast powerful spells and summon strong creatures to fight for you. Destroy your enemies with attacks like lightning, fireballs, and arrows, and strengthen your own forces with extra damage, courage, and armor. Watch as your units enter the battle and use their special skills to defeat anyone who tries to invade.
Synopsis
Powerful hunters have descended upon your god’s fortress, seeking her golden throne and hoping to exploit a weakening in her power. However, a new guardian now protects the lair: the Monarch, appointed to rule in the god’s place. The question is, is he strong enough to fill her shoes?
Deckbuilding
You play as a summoner with a deck of magical cards, each representing a unique ability. Use these cards to call forth units and battle your enemies. Since you can only hold a limited number of cards, careful planning and a well-built deck are essential to defeat the various monsters trying to raid and ruin your dungeon.
Key Features
- A unique combination of deckbuilding, dungeon defense, tactics, and auto-battling.
- Cards and units can synergize to increase their powers. Tactically plan to make the most of these synergies and send your enemies packing!
- Once on the battlefield, your units will attack on their own, but as their leader, you can move around the dungeon to make the most of their ferocious fighting abilities!
- Construct towers and other buildings to speed troop summoning and unlock additional features.
- A fun, fresh, and fiendish art style.
- Random events boost the game’s replay value.
