Vanessa Hudgens Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby No. 2 With Cole Tucker

It’s the start of something new for Vanessa Hudgens

Life is so full right now! I’m thrilled to share that our family has grown – we’ve welcomed a second baby! My husband, Cole Tucker, and I are over the moon, and we’re loving life as a family of four. I shared the happy news on social media a few weeks ago, and it’s been a joy ever since.

She announced the arrival of her new baby on Instagram, sharing a photo from her hospital bed with her husband, a Major League Baseball player. She described labor as an intense experience and sent a heartfelt message to all mothers, celebrating the amazing capabilities of the female body.

Vanessa Hudgens, known for her role in High School Musical, announced she’s expecting her second child. She shared the news on Instagram on July 12th with photos from a maternity shoot. The pictures showed Vanessa and her husband, Cole Tucker, wearing white and sweetly pointing to her baby bump. She simply captioned the post, “Round two.”

The couple, who started publicly dating in February 2021 and got married in Mexico in December 2023, welcomed their first child last year. They have chosen to keep the baby’s name and gender private.

Vanessa has already thought about how she’ll introduce her movies to her children, and this plan has actually influenced the kinds of roles she chooses.

In May 2024, she told TopMob News that she carefully chose projects throughout her career with her future children in mind. She wanted to build a body of work they could enjoy at any age, and she plans to share it all with them.

This definitely includes the two projects she worked on while expecting her first child: season 11 of The Masked Singer and Bad Boys: Ride or Die.

“It’s really cute,” she said of the experience. “I’m like, ‘I have a little action baby.’”

As for how her little action star has changed her outlook on life?

I was really struck by what she said in her TopMob News interview last November. She explained that as she’s gotten older, she’s become much more focused on what actually matters. She feels life is already full of craziness, so she doesn’t want to add any unnecessary stress to the mix – and honestly, I totally get that!

The actress from Sucker Punch has always made relaxation a priority; she actually met her future husband during an online meditation session early in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Okay, so get this—I was video chatting with my girlfriend when I noticed this guy in the background. I practically interrogated her, ‘Who is that?!’ She swore she’d never seen him before. Naturally, I had to zoom in on his little square to figure out who he was, and I found him on Instagram! The very next day, he messaged me! It was so crazy!
