Recently, Vanessa Kirby shared details about the actor featured in the post-credits scene of “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” This latest Marvel production premiered worldwide on July 25 and serves as a stepping stone towards “Avengers: Doomsday.” In this movie, Kirby will reappear as Sue Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman.
Robert Downey Jr. played Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four’s Post-Credits Scene
Recently, the actress who portrayed Napoleon was interviewed, during which she was questioned about whether it was indeed Robert Downey Jr. appearing in the post-credit scene of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Vanessa Kirby referred to Downey Jr. as the “Godfather” on set and later confirmed to Variety that he was, in fact, the one wearing the Doctor Doom suit during the post-credits scene. She explained, “Absolutely! Robert’s always around. He leads us. We affectionately call him our Godfather. He’s been so caring towards us. It’s a pleasure working with the Russos and him because they’ve collaborated deeply for a long time. Robert is doing phenomenal work. I can hardly wait!
In the final scene following the credits of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, it’s four years after the Galactus incident, and Sue Storm and Franklin Richards are in the Baxter Building. She steps away for a moment to fetch a book to read to her son. Upon returning, she finds Franklin engaged with a mysterious individual – none other than Doctor Doom.
It’s worth noting that instead of Matt Shakman, it was actually the Russo Brothers who handled the post-credits scene. They are also responsible for directing Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars.
Vanessa Kirby also talked about her time working on the Avengers: Doomsday set during her first pregnancy, expressing, “Working on ‘Avengers’ while pregnant has been amazing. I felt incredibly inspired and extremely grateful for the exceptional care I received. It’s been a truly wonderful experience.
