Vanessa Williams has shared her reaction to the upcoming Desperate Housewives revival, and she’s not entirely convinced it’s a good idea.
The actress played Renee Perry for the last two seasons of the popular TV show. Although the show’s creator, Marc Cherry, once considered a spin-off focused on her character, those plans have changed.
A revival of the hit show *Desperate Housewives*, called *Wisteria Lane*, is in the works. Written by Natalie Chaidez, the new series is being described as a playful, intriguing, and darkly funny mystery, similar in style to the original.
The residents of Wisteria Lane appear to have perfect lives – lovely homes, happy families, and all the latest conveniences. However, beneath this idyllic surface lie hidden secrets and untold stories.
The show was really Marc Cherry’s vision – he created it and wrote every episode, and he has a very distinct style. I’m interested to see if he’s involved in any reboot or continuation. If not, I’m curious to know how they’ll approach the story and the setting of Wisteria Lane. It’s too early to say what the new direction will be.

Vanessa Williams received the Variety Silver Heart Award, recognizing her significant contributions to both the arts and humanitarian efforts, at the recent awards ceremony.
Currently performing in The Devil Wears Prada in London’s West End, actress Williams shared that she’s been happily living in London for the past two years.
I’ve been busy promoting the show, and also working with James Martin – I even got to go to his home and cook! Plus, I got a behind-the-scenes look at his incredible Ferrari collection, which is something most people wouldn’t have the opportunity to see. It’s been a really special, VIP experience.
