Venus Williams Marries Andrea Preti in 5-Day Palm Beach Wedding

That’s game, set match, and a marriage for Venus Williams.

The tennis star recently confirmed she’s married to Italian actor and producer Andrea Preti, following several wedding celebrations over the past few months.

Venus, 45, and Andrea, 37, had a small wedding ceremony in Ischia, Italy, in September. They originally intended to have a larger celebration there, eight months after becoming engaged.

Venus shared with Vogue that she and her partner originally planned to get married in Italy. However, because of the lengthy paperwork required for international marriages – a process that can take around eight months – they didn’t have enough time. As a result, they decided to have a second wedding ceremony.

Three months after their initial ceremony, Venus and Andrea held a larger celebration in Palm Beach, Florida. The festivities began six days before the main event on December 21st with a yacht party hosted by Venus’ sister, Serena Williams. This was followed by a bridal shower, a family dinner at the exclusive Sopra club in Miami, and a fun-filled sports day. Throughout the week, the couple also hosted daily pool parties at their home for friends and family, as reported by Vogue.

Venus and Andrea got married in a private ceremony at Miami City Hall on Friday, December 20th.

Venus, wearing a Morilee New York dress, described their early morning experience as breathtakingly beautiful, peaceful, and uplifting. ‘It felt like a dream,’ they said.

Andrea described the courthouse ceremony as a deeply emotional and unique experience, saying it was the second-best day of her life.

The Grand Slam champion and her partner finalized their wedding vows at home. She walked down the aisle to the song “Ovunque Sarai” by Irama, wearing a one-of-a-kind gown designed by Georges Hobeika.

She told Vogue she chose her dress hoping Andrea would approve. She described the feeling as ‘magical and perfect’ for a wedding in Florida.

Serena, Isha Price, and Lyndrea Price were among those in the bridal party. The women all wore tailored suits, while the men on Andrea’s side opted for a more relaxed look.

The couple wrote their own vows, which Venus read in both Italian—her husband’s native language—and English.

Venus shared that they had a wonderful time at the ceremony. She finished reading her vows in English, but Andrea asked her to repeat them in Italian.

The couple, who first got together in 2024, celebrated their marriage by entering the reception to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” They then shared their first dance as a married couple to The Flamingos’ classic, “I Only Have Eyes for You.”

Venus and Andrea held a reception for their loved ones, then the groom left work and the new Mrs. Preti continued the celebration on a party bus until 2 in the morning.

Amid days of celebrating their love, Venus’ wedding day was a reflection of their bond.

She told Vogue that everyone felt a deep love for each other, describing the day as “the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.”
