Victoria, David Beckham Recall “Great Memories” With Sons Amid Feud

Victoria Beckham and David Beckham are remembering a simpler time.

Photographer Platon Antoniou recently posted some photos from a 2006 shoot with David and Victoria Beckham. Looking back at the pictures, the couple – parents to Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14 – reminisced about happy times with their sons before a family disagreement caused a rift.

The Spice Girls’ Geri Halliwell, 51, shared a nostalgic comment on a photo posted by photographer Platon on January 24th, saying it ‘brings back great memories.’ David Beckham expressed similar feelings, writing ‘Good memories @platon.’

When Platon took these photos, he went to Madrid to photograph David, a 50-year-old soccer star who was also deeply involved in raising his children.

Platon shared some old photos of the athlete and wrote about a family visit. Victoria Beckham arrived with her sons: seven-year-old Brooklyn, four-year-old Romeo, and a very young Cruz. Brooklyn and Romeo immediately ran into the studio, excitedly playing football and showing off their skills.

I remember Brooklyn running onto the set with his football and hugging his dad’s leg. Soon after, Romeo came over to join him. Then, Victoria arrived carrying baby Cruz. The entire family turned away from the cameras and shared a really touching family hug.

The photographer, 57, remembered being struck by the family’s affection for one another.

I’ve always believed fame comes at a real cost, and sadly, it’s often the people closest to the celebrity who suffer too. When I saw this incredible tenderness between them, it really touched me. I just knew it would make a stunning photograph, especially because they weren’t posing or aware I was even there – it felt so real and genuine.

David and Victoria Beckham have been reminiscing about the past following their son Brooklyn’s recent public discussion of a family rift. Brooklyn, who married Nicola Peltz Beckham in April 2022, shared details about his strained relationship with his family in a social media post on January 19th.

Platon explained that he didn’t want to disrupt the intimate moment between the family, seeing Victoria as a mother rather than a celebrity. Instead of taking a direct photo, he chose to capture the soccer star from behind, focusing on the tattoos of his children’s names.

I’ve always been captivated by eyes in portraits, but it’s amazing how we look for other signs of a person’s soul when we can’t see their face. This particular photograph really struck me – even though David is pictured alone, you can see the love his children have for him right there on his back, beautifully displayed in his tattoos. It’s a really powerful way to show connection and humanity.

“Family is everything,” he continued. “David Beckham, I salute you.”

While not required, many people expected Nicola Peltz Beckham to wear a wedding dress designed by her future mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, when she married Brooklyn Beckham in April 2022. The wedding took place at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

In a June 2024 interview with InStyle, Brooklyn reflected on his upbringing – growing up as the son of a famous football player and a Spice Girl – and said he was very happy despite it sometimes being considered “crazy.”

He admitted things were busy, but said he had amazing parents and really enjoyed himself.

Victoria shared a series of photos and wrote a heartfelt message about how happy she is to be spending the holidays with her family, tagging her children and daughter-in-law. She expressed her love for them all.

Although there hasn’t been an official explanation, Brooklyn and Nicola weren’t in any of the photos his parents shared from the party celebrating David’s 50th birthday in London in May 2025.

According to a source at TopMob News, the couple traveled to England, choosing to miss the Met Gala on May 5th. They reportedly hoped to visit David and celebrate his birthday during that week or weekend.

As a longtime follower, it’s really upsetting to hear Brooklyn’s side of things. He’s claiming his parents have always manipulated what the media says about their family, prioritizing the ‘Beckham brand’ over everything else, and even actively trying to sabotage his relationship with Nicola. It’s a pretty serious accusation, and honestly, it breaks my heart to see all this playing out publicly.

He mentioned struggling with anxiety throughout his life, but says he now feels peaceful and relieved since creating distance from his family.
