On February 16, 2026, a visitor trespassed into a private area of EPCOT and put their hands and feet in a decorative stream.
A video posted on Instagram by @therideview (Jonathan) shows someone climbing over a railing into the Victoria Gardens at the Canada Pavilion. In the video, the person seems to take off at least one shoe and then puts their hands and feet in the stream that runs through the garden.

I saw a post about this online, and apparently when things started happening, Disney Cast Members and security were right there to handle it. Thankfully, it sounds like they got everything sorted out quickly without bothering most of the other park guests.
The video online doesn’t show who the person is or why they went into the restricted area. So far, Disney and the police haven’t released any information about what happened.
Context
Victoria Gardens, located at the Canada Pavilion, is a beautifully landscaped area with flowers, stonework, and a small stream. It’s designed to be viewed from the walkways and bridges, and guests are asked not to enter the gardens themselves. Barriers and railings keep guests on the paths and protect the landscaping, and climbing over them is not permitted.
The decorative water features you see in theme parks aren’t meant for playing in. They often contain chemicals used to keep the water clean and have hidden equipment that could be dangerous. This is generally true for Disney parks, though a representative hasn’t specifically commented on this particular situation.

Going into areas of theme parks that are off-limits can result in consequences. Usually, park staff can give warnings, ask guests to leave, or even ban them for a period of time, depending on what happened and how well the guest cooperates. Disney’s rules clearly state guests need to stay on marked paths and respect all boundaries, but they haven’t released specific details about what happens when someone breaks these rules in this case.
Disney parks have occasionally seen visitors entering decorative water features – like lagoons and fountains at EPCOT – to attempt stunts or take photos. These incidents have been reported in the past.

We currently have no new information regarding the guest involved in the recent incident. Throughout EPCOT, Cast Members are reminding everyone to follow safety rules and stay within designated areas to ensure guest safety and protect the park’s landscaping.
