VIDEOVERSE coming to PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on November 14

Ratalaika Games and Kinmoku announced that their narrative adventure game, *VIDEOVERSE*, will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch starting November 14th.

VIDEOVERSE first launched for PC via Steam and itch.io on August 7, 2023.

Lucy Blundell, founder of Kinmoku, described her game, VIDEOVERSE, as a personal tribute to video games. In a press release, she explained that it’s a story about growing up, combined with the end of an era for gaming consoles. The game also looks at how progress and business can sometimes leave personal connections behind, and is aimed at anyone who has fond memories of playing video games.

Here is an overview of the game, via Ratalaika Games:

About

VIDEIVERSE is a story-driven adventure that delves into how our sense of self, connections with others, and technology intertwine. It’s set in a reimagined 2003, during the height of popularity for the Kinmoku Shark gaming console and its online world, Videoverse.

Step into the shoes of Emmett, a young gamer, and join the vibrant online world surrounding Feudal Fantasy, the hit RPG from Kinmoku Shark. Uncover hidden secrets within the game’s fandom and expose the shady dealings behind the company itself.

Connect with other players, share your creations, and become part of a lively gaming community. Your choices will impact the story of Emmett and could even decide the future of Videoverse!

VIDEOVERSE draws inspiration from classic online platforms like MSN Messenger, MySpace, and Nintendo’s Miiverse, recreating the feeling of those early digital hangouts and how they shaped our connections. The game features a nostalgic 1-bit pixel art style and an immersive soundtrack by Clark Aboud, known for his work on games like Slay the Spire and Kind Words.

How you interact with others in Videoverse will influence its communities and impact the overall story, even after you finish playing. Will you help build a positive environment by reporting harmful behavior and offering support, or will you contribute to negativity?

Following the popular game *One Night Stand*, *VIDEOVERSE* is the new project from acclaimed developer Lucy Blundell, who many know as Kinmoku. Building on her talent for creating compelling characters and emotionally resonant stories, *VIDEOVERSE* is a tribute to video games and the way they connect us.

These console versions, released by Ratalaika Games, feature everything that was added to the original PC game – like a better interface and art gallery – plus new improvements, including support for the Japanese language.

VIDEOVERSE is sure to be a hit with both longtime fans and new viewers. You can enjoy its compelling story whether you’re relaxing at home or watching on the move.
