Okay, I’m seriously impressed with what Guerrilla is doing! They’re kicking off the first closed beta test for Horizon Hunters Gathering this weekend, and it looks like they’re not holding back at all. I’m really excited to see what it’s all about!
That’s right – a limited number of fans will get to play the game very soon, according to a recent email from PlayStation.
Players enrolled in the PlayStation Beta Program may be chosen to participate, but this test is currently limited to those in Europe and North America.
The closed beta test will get underway from 27th February and run until 1st March.
The servers will be online during the following hours:
- Europe
- 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM CET
- North America
- 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM PST
Players can choose from three characters: Axle, Rem, and Sun. The game will feature two modes – Machine Incursion and Cauldron Descent – and take place on the Colorado Springs map, which was previously revealed.
You’ll also get to try out Gathering, a shared social area, and personalize your campsite.
It’s notable that Sony is holding this event alongside the Marathon Server Slam, but since it’s a closed beta, we believe Guerrilla is simply gathering feedback as they continue developing the game.
After the positive response to early player involvement with Concord, the game company is wisely letting players test Horizon Hunters Gathering soon after revealing the game.
We’re hoping the initial launch of Guerrilla goes well, and we’re excited to test it out if we receive an invitation.
