Square Enix and gumi have announced that the Japanese version of War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius will no longer be available after May 28th.
War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was first released in Japan on November 14, 2019, and became available worldwide on March 25, 2020. The game’s global service was discontinued on May 30, 2025.
The development team, led by producer Watanabe, explored the possibility of an offline version of the game to maintain the original experience. However, they found it too challenging to create effectively, as the game is deeply connected to online battles, guild activities, and player interactions. Despite this, Square Enix is planning to release special videos to allow players to relive the story, and is also creating a commemorative book.
We’ll keep adding new in-game events until the game officially ends. You can find details about the final update plan on this special website.
